this 1958 vw bug that was towed from california to newHampshire 35 years ago, at the time they were trying to get it switched over from 6 volt to 12 volt but never got it to work, after leaving it in the woods for 35 years we came along and dragged it out. now lets see what the weather, critters and time has left for us to work with.

Love vws
What a P.O.S beetle
I love your show! Thanks for posting.
Actually not bad! I’ve seen worse! It’s definitely a great contender for restoration!👌😎ðŸ‘
You almost have enough licence plates to rebuild the floor pans lol ty for letting me share a joke with you Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother and everybody yuuuuup
Should of left it in the brush,it looked happier
It's like Aladdin's cave. It never ends.
It’s amazing how much better things look after a good going over with the water blaster
New set of chrome wheels n drive it ðŸ˜
After lots of Youtube Videos, this is the closest I could find to mine, minus the rusting floor pans. Mine is also full of Mouse excrement and seeing you clean yours gives me more hope to work on mine. From what I saw you just pressure washed the inside?
It look good for siting in the woods
Hope you have a mask on !!
Take a lesson from Vice Grip Garage. License plates make great floor pans. All you need is self tapping screws.
Automotive archaeology and panning for gold!
I felt physically sick watching you go through that filthy heap. You're a braver man than I that's for sure. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
The clips for the chrome molding did its damage
Where is your HAZ-MAT suit?
its a shrek bug. sad they abandoned it….
My ’63 had ‘85 on the registeration
That could be one of Ted Bundy VW he was always in the woods. Lol great video mate
The vacuuming you keep turning off the camera and doing is what most of us enjoy watching get done in these videos…missed opportunity!
Que bueno que lo encontraste
Pobre bocho verde🚗😥
I thought 1958's were Oval window?
Use to have a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle and like watching your video in trying to get them running, wish I could find out what happened to mine sold it in 1987
Sure don't look like a '58 to me with the rear window that large.
Looks more like ten(ish) years newer, if ya ask me . . .
Ever seen one with turn signal arms just behind the doors? I had one and re-hooked them up to a one switch so they came up at the same time, made people look funny!
I appreciate you putting the tire valve stem caps back on. Proper.

hi guys i know this is an year old video but im from uk we never find out like this in woods i think ill have to move across the pond
Beautiful, my 74 bug is the exact same color with patina. I just clear coated it & came out beautiful…
How is it possible that this car does not got more rust than it does? Maybe it got to do with that car never got exposed to salty roads.
I’m still catching up on some of the old mustie1 videos I’m surprise 5150 didn’t sniff this one out lol. This would be right up his alley. Thank you mustie, It’s always a great time watching you do what you do.
"I can't hold my breath that long". The joys of restoration.
Going back to Carolina in my mind 🤣🤣
Very nice find. Crazy how the mice ate that pencil. 😆 You gonna restore it?
A great story, thanks!
Extremly restoration 🤣
I was taken aback by that bare, clean metal under the undercoating
I sure enjoyed this- do you think it was originaly light blue ?
Great to see ! Im up in Scandinavia so its a cold climate in winter months but when summer arrives the Summer Bugs arrive from their winter storage ! ….. My brother actually imported a T2 from California to the UK, he revamped it all the way through and he now has it in France for the summer months. He was offered 30,000 euros but said "No way" ….
“It actually does not look terrible😳😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔🤔â€. I’m sorry, but it looks horrible under the wheel well!! Your definition of “not terrible†& MY definition DEFINITELY differ greatly!! I believe you might want to get a second opinion on that. I love your guys’ awesome & wonderful channel, & your rebuilds are exceptional & exciting to watch!! Please keep up the great work
Seriously, what's the deal with so many people leaving so many beetles in the forests? Is this some kind of ritual? 😂 Serious question tho
God, leaving that thing sit and rot in the woods like they did is a crime. Think what kind of shape it'd be in if they had at least parked it on the driveway.
I heald my breath through the whole video, it was so gross…lol
I think we LS454 Swap it and put some tires on it and take it straight to the Drag strip like it is ….Gots to still be safer than some of my Parents cars that we rode in back in the 60's 70's and 80's in Northeast Ohio
I remember back in the day .They had the kit that made it where you could bolt a small block 350 to thee back of the VW Beatles
