  1. Welcome to the wonderful world of the Chrysler electrical system, circa 1968. It's almost as bad as the electrical systems on English cars, such as MG, Triumph, and Jaguar.

  2. When I was in the Navy back in the late '60s I had a '67 Dodge Charger R/T with a 318 with 4 barrel. I loved that car. However, I would walk away from this one.

  3. That could be such a great car again😢I hope it falls into the hands of someone that will make it great again 🇺🇸👍👍🇺🇸

  4. That transmission is a muncin, I'm probably spelling it wrong but back in the day, first upgrade for the ponies was a muncin 4 speed. Bulletproof manual out of Pennsylvania.

  5. I'm 23:45 in but the source for parts on these old muscle cars is or was a company called year one. Long ago before smart phones and eBay this was the catalog that was entertaining us Gen x'ers on the shop shitter. But it's been a good 25 years since I rebuilt my no longer mine 68 Camaro. Man I miss that smell and idle bounce. On another note, pumping the gas on carbureted engines will only empty the half evaporated bowls more causing a longer lean start issue so better to just let it crank longer and let the choke do its thing. Also the notches in the windows is an ash thing for your cigarette. Crack the window to expose the notch and the negative pressure inside the cabin will pull the ash outside when you flick your cigarette towards its direction. Anyway, thanks for the memories and remember, Dodge has always sucked balls. 😂

  6. It’s a desperate shame but unless it gets a frame up repair and rebuild it’s not worth touching, way to much liability for any workshop to do any less 🫣😵‍💫🙁

  7. Don't know what everyone is complaining about.
All these issues can be resolved with fire. 🙂

This car is nice from far, but far from nice.

I'm assuming the current owner is not responsible the multitude of hacks on this and he bought it as is. So much work needs doing to this. Could be worth it if they're willing to put the money and effort into it. #1 on this list should be a full electrical system overhaul.

  8. That is going to be a money pit for the owner and steady work for you as long as they pay. The headlights have a vacuum switch attached that works the doors for the headlights, by the way. Fun, fun, fun.

  9. That’s the kind of car an enthusiast who can do his own work needs to own. Someone with the space, time, knowledge & tools to take on. To have a shop put all that right will likely cost more than it’s worth.

  10. That car is done past what you really should mess with, just correct what you broke while diagnosing and give it back with condolences. Ask if he wan’ts to continue first.

  11. Needs a complete restoration blah blah blah…Or you could tackle the jobs one at a time and actually fix some things and make the car better..

  12. Ooooo aReal Charger👍 there were many muscle cars in the parking lot at my High School Chargers, Barracudas, Super Bees, Road Runners, Mustang's, Fairlanes, Camaros, Chevelle's,ect

  13. That charger is so fucked up, sad to see 🙁 : It needs to tear a part and start full restoration and fix all those shit job whats done to it. And im sure it has shitload of rust and bondo…

  14. I would respectfully decline this one. Owner probably has money but doesn't realize how much work needs done. It's a sweet ride, but has been cobbled together..😢

  15. Unless that truck has sentimental value , they do make newer ones that are decked out. I own 4 B bodies and I I am ashamed to see that. I would have never touched that with a 10 ft pole! They have specific shops that work on those kind of frankenstein's!

  16. Call the owner and tell him to get ahold of Derek from Vice Grip Garage and sale to him lol. Or fix what you can and be done with it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  17. I would not do anything with that junk….my son and i restored a 87 cj 7 jeep, and we took it down to metal.. after putting 3 grand into the rear end engine transmission and trying to de-rust it..when we were done, we noticed the frame was thin.. so we sold it fast.
So DON'T work on that car.. you will have to fix the body rust just to mount things you need to mount.
NEVER work on a car that smells like gas.. i've seen too many cars/trucks burn down a couple work shops to the ground. If you do work on a gas smelling unit, do it outside AWAY from the shop.
Good video….that car.. not so good.
