In this video we have a look at a ladies 2012 Chevrolet Malibu who came in with a customer complaint of a grinding noise in the brakes. A short test drive an a quick inspection did show it needed some work. -Enjoy!

Minecraft is a great game, no matter what age you are.
wish i would seen this clamping the hose trick 4 days ago.
In this day and age we live in the rule seems to be it’s all about me and the heck with you !
I, of course, would never blame you for anything, but you mentioned not to ever do things just based on you tube videos. I agree in many cases. In your case, I will totally go by your directions because you are thorough and care about your customers! Couldn't agree more about people being rude and entitled. It is sooo annoying.
I've watched a many of hours of your work! I have never been a "doer of mechanics" type of person, even tho I have always understood the concept design of it! Always have had the ability to accurately diagnose the issue in most situations I have encountered over my 45 years of life! I am a builder/thinker by nature and understanding things is my life-long driven desire… so when Covid became the point that almost every person in the world experienced that brought on many effects/changes into their lives that was abrupt & changing ourselves to adapt to the "New World" we were dealt. Mine came in the form of not being able to find, get, trust, make a deal with, or find anyone around that would work on anything for me! I basically bought 4 mowers in 5 years (3 riders), 3 vehicles in 5 years (2013 Kia Sadonna, 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2l H.D. 4×4 Sport (bought during covid year & not taken on 1 errand without catastrophe of wiring issues, etc., etc… you know the deal on em'! 2003 jeep grand Cherokee limited 4.0l 2×4 and now drive it full time! Needless to say, I am a "Youtube" go to for everything possible & now I am proficient with Craftsman, MTD, Yard Machine, & Cub-Cadet mowers & am capable of working on my own EVERYTHING that is/has/was an issue that has caused me to see my grass grow above my fence by 2 feet or better & be stuck @ home for 4 years with no vehicle to go do anything that was enjoyable or beyond grocery store or doctor! You have brought many of strides of confidence & a much broader experience with your videos and I am gratefully humble to have had you available to watch when I was overwhelmed or felt defeated with no knowledge of what I was doing or going to do! I am now learning another valuable trait of "Electrical diagnosing issues, chase down issue with more ease of confidence, & have the ability with moderate amount of tools/equipment in my arsenal that I didn't know how to get to know how before I found the amazing creators that are grinding their knowledge out to the world so we can all be a bit more self reliant & be better at the things that hold us back! I hope you have an amazing time doing amazing things because I am amazed at your consistent grind!
I am with u on how people are way way to sensitive. Oh! I have offended you??? Well guess what- your offended and the world still turns , get over it lol hahaha
I like that tip on clamping the break line. I only jack it up one side and put it in drive, let off the break carefully and listen/feel the vibration. Have to do a 2011 malibu for a friend of my daughter. Had the the one side done and they charged $200/hr labor I wish I could make that. I told my daughter that I would help her and she could charge him what she wanted.
from the looks of the car it is almost ready for the scrap heap, time to buy another one and slave away to pay for it inn the salt belt
"napper" needs to sponser this man
Love that free tip
Good job Eric O
Northern brakes are a battle. I do some of my own. Literally need to clean and free mine 2xs a year but my cars sit a lot.

You got that right ðŸ‘ðŸ‘Mr O,they think they’re the only ones on earth.👌Keep up the good work and vidsðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👌
I used those nylon brushes to clean my M-16 back in the 70's.. they work great for other stuff too…
Fluid Film was “spankedâ€.😮
Nice technique. You got the “Osterizer†in that wheel bearing 😊
So what size was the axle nut 35 or 36
Free tip Friday Knew it was a wheel right side bearing just by hearing.
So I'm sure I asked once before. But why are Napa , AutoZone, Oreillys , etc premium brake pads so much smaller than oem that comes on your car ?
Well plural of Lego is Lego, so you were right the first time. You have good instincts.
Always relaxing and entertaining there Eric. Good stuff all round again. 😀
Eric O going postal…oh no mr bill..lol
Crack me up every time you say naper not a sponsor..lol
@7:55 Does anyone know what that tool he used to push back the caliper piston is called? That thing is way better than my C clamp or pad spreader that I have. Edit: I think it might be the Lisle 24300 Speedy Brake Pad Spreader for single pistons. Looks like they make a dual piston model Lisle 25750 Dual Piston Brake Caliper Compressor as well. Took some searching.
