A Frustrating and Rewarding Day Farming

Today it’s a frustrating morning hanging barn gates, then a beautiful afternoon doing work with the broiler chickens and cattle, and picking up beef from the butcher.

  1. Pete doesnt put out many video's anymore…
He let the negative keyboard knuckleheads get to him & just stopped making video's …
He would've hit a million subs Im sure , but his sub's have actually dropped recently..

  2. What temperatures do you have in your area and how hot do your tractors get for the chickens? I live in a humid and hot area during the summer and was wanting to see if the temperatures are affecting your chickens.

  3. We had a family run farm and dressed 100 to 200 chickens a week. My grandfather had an electric chicken picker he designed himself. I assume you have some sort of electrical picking device?

  4. Hey Pete and Hillary. Wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your channel! It's informative and entertaining. It's nice to see a couple working so well together! Gene! (Heavyrider)

  5. Pete, you said you were grateful for your support on the channel. Thank you for the acknowledgment but I love the way you conduct yourself and the way you make everything fun. You lift me up every time I watch you. I wish every person would take the time to make others day a pleasure. Hope you have many happy and blessed days.

  6. I cannot believe the rain we have had here in western Ma – just about 25" of rain since the middle of June and it is now Aug. 14. A terrible summer for farmers and anyone who works outdoors here.

  7. Hi Pete and Hillary! I just finished your book Pete! What an incredible, enlightening story I so resonate with ! My husband and I watch you and Hillary religiously and your daily adventures bring us so much peace and insight! We have a small 40 acre farm in Vale, Oregon. We could only aspire to achieve a quarter as much as you and Hillary have! We share your love of farm, family, hard work and carrying on with traditions of days gone by! I am sure you remember the endless days of summer when we were all kids….everything was so magical looking back now! Anyhow – You and Hillary keep showing us how it’s done! We can’t thank you enough! God bless you and your beautiful family! Would love to hear some stories from your Dad and your childhood! Your farm is absolutely gorgeous! We really love Patti!!!!

  8. I thought that gate hinges(especially around cattle) was one facing up and the top hinge facing down so cattle could not lift gate off hinges. But I guess you are bolting hinge tops.!
