Great documentary. Hard to believe human beings were treated this way not too long ago. I have always tried to educate myself on this time period to understand what is going on today. The other day I was in a local convenience store and over heard conversation between owner and customer…customer mention watching Super Bowl…owner right away says he doesnt watch NFL anymore because of all the "nonsense" that has gone on. He then stated he was glad that there were no idiots that kneeled…especially since they make millions. I heard this as I was walking…started to turn around to engage him but decided there was nothing I could say to change his viewpoint. He didnt understand that these players are protesting past and current treatment of black Americas. The players understand that they have a visible platform and want to effect change for future generations. This is why they do it. Owner of store is son of Polish immigrant so very disappointing to hear that considering immigrants have always faced similar hate.
They should not have told him to be careful there should have told him not to take that job or to quit
Watched this program last night. Makes me sick how people can be so arrogant, condescending, racist, ugly. I'd like to think racism doesn't exist anymore but that would be wishful thinking. Maybe there is less of it but sad that in 2022 there are still people who behave and think in such a terrible way. Condolences to families and communities who suffer such indignities and murder.

That was my "little" brothers 8th birthday and only a couple weeks before my 10th birthday. How is it that I've never heard of this before??? I plan to watch it. All I have to say is : "they are lucky we are seeking equality and not vengeance ". May this family, and so many others, find some kind of inner peace until the real, fair judgment takes place , and the perpetrators of so much sufferings get what they deserve .
