In this video, let’s take a look at VoWiFi or Voice Over WiFi technology – what it is and why it’s very important to us end consumers. AirTel has just rolled out VoWiFi in select circles and Jio is planning on doing the same too… so this seems to be as good a time as any to take a detailed look at VoWiFi.
Voice Over WiFi should help improve the quality of calls in a lot of areas, especially those where there is low or bad network connectivity.
Service Providers like Jio and AirTel should be able to achieve this by using the existing broadband infrastructure to offload calls onto. How this is done and what gains we should be seeing with VoWiFi is what we are going to be looking at in today’s video.

I'm able to use VoWifi from my Nokia 7 Plus via Hathway Internet in Chennai.

Jio vowifi doesn't work on local ISP WiFi but only main stream ISP such as Airtel,act,Tata etc. Not all broadband is supported.ðŸ˜

Airtel is not restricting on Airtel broadband in New Delhi and Jio has started their services in New Delhi too.
I am in bargarh (Odisha) and surprisingly both my Airtel and jio sims are showing VoWiFi on my redmi K20 pro in my office although there are rumours that the testing is done on selected circles (and my location far from being popular). On Airtel I am using this feature for last 3-4 days and jio it started today itself. I even placed calls and call history shows VoWiFi calls. Earlier there was almost 8-9 call drops in 10 die to very poor network coverage, but now calls are super clear.

No, I am getting VoWifi signal on my iPhone X on an ACT fibernet connection. The mobile service provider name displays as Airtel Wifi

Well, I have Jio Fibre WiFi at home and my cellular operator is Airtel. My phone uses voice over WiFi. So it is not restricted to Airtel broadband now
I just got the new VoWiFi icon in the notification bar. But it constantly switches between VoLTE & VoWiFi. I'm using Samsung Galaxy A50s with Airtel Sim.
I use an airtel sim card and with bsnl broadband i'm getting the VoWifi icon..

I am already getting Vowifi in Delhi on Jio through Hathaway Internet.
Works well for my 6T in Kolkata.
Airtel VoWifi is also working on any Wifi, no need airtel broadband 😀
