Google just released a ton of new features for Android 15 and a new Pixel Drop! In this video, we’ll dive deep into all the most noticeable changes in Android 15 and tell you everything you need to know about new features for your Pixel phone, watch, and tablet.
DISCLAIMER: This video erroneously says some features are part of Android 15 that will actually be a part of a future release. Likewise, some features are said to be for Android 15 but are actually exclusively for Pixels. Android Authority regrets these errors.
These features were not included in the October 2024 Android 15 update but will likely come at a later date:
– Limiting charging
– Keyboard switcher key
– Screen recording and casting chip
– Redesigned settings app
– Notification cool down
Additionally, the Home Control Screensaver and the new Widget Button are noted in the Android 15 section, though they are part of the Pixel Drop (the screensaver is for Pixel tablets only). The Volume Panel redesign is also Pixel only.

Some of these features like battery optimization & notification cool down are still to come in Android 15 but it gives us something to look foward to!
â¤very nice phones i am very like Samsung phones it's very strong phones working good in Internet email YouTube's Facebook
its not here
0:24 Android Authority But, Apple Product
Limiting charging to 80% is gone (Pixel 9 at least) and is not available anymore. I wish to know why
Something I miss is having the WiFi and data buttons being separate rather than in the same mini pop-up menu, I like turning off data when I'm at home, and vice versa, turning it on when I leave home. I always end up disconnecting both WiFi and data because the slider is so small, it usually always takes me 2 or 3 tries.
This is nice
the best feature of android 15 so far is something no one has talked about, something i've asked for, for a while. Now, it could be one of those "server side switches" that are slow to get to everyone but as soon as I upgraded to android 15 i noticed the circle to select now has a "Share" option. this shares just the bit of the screen you selected, basically taking a screenshot and sharing that. Basically it circumvents the need to take a screenshot, crop it then save it just to share once. This is SO GREAT, i end up taking screenshots of so many things on my screen to share on social media or to my friends and i always hate how i have to take a screenshot and save it first, because it means my phone gets flooded with random screenshots i only used that one time. maybe it's just me, but this is smthg i've been asking for, for a WHILE. The only thing that'd make it better is a "copy" button right next to the share.
Android version is doesn't matter to end user like me,
messaging, musics and tubes, few works
OnePlus already had most of these features lol. There always a step ahead
I've watched 4 or 5 Android 15 videos and this is by far the most complete and thorough video I've found! ðŸ‘
🤔 Is Matter Smart Home devices easier to update with Android 15?
Samsung one ui 6.1 has all this things almost 😅
Some of these new Android 15 updates and pixel feature drops are not available on my pixel 6 pro in Australia for some reason (incl. The ones you say are there for pixel 6 & up).
My settings is still a long scroll and not grouped together like yours is shown. I can't see any pixel weather app either. Any ways for these to show up? Or do I maybe have to wait for another update?
I have to ask this, but why does it say Android Authority and there is an Apple monitor and other Apple goodies in the back ground?
Nice Mac in the background there.
Private space works like Samsung's Secure Folder.
Hello sir I'm your subscribe plz asset us!

In India I want
I just want them to bring back notification toggles in one click for wifi and Bluetooth
I like how no-one is talking about how almost all the features are from iOS
Cant find theft protection on my pixel 6..any help
i have updated to android 15 on my pixel 6 nothing hasn't changed accept for my camera and the archiving apps feature i was hoping for maybe being able to move icons around on my homescreen like you can on the IPhone and samsung thats the only feature missing and the icons should also change colors just like the home screen apps
3:30 not 8.7kb. thats how much wifi data usage. It doesn't actually say how much storage it's taking…
We need battery health 😢
Every brand using Android is getting widely different from each other. It feels like there isn't anymore collective teamwork between android makers.
Android 15 is the android 12 with more features. Since the version 12, everything looks and feels the same as the 13, 14 and probably 15.
Google is going to close the acces on some APK, roms, etc. Why it is deciding to be so restrictive while Apple is opening more doors ? I'm not an apple user and i'm more excited for their keynotes and releases.
was actually looking forward to some more features
still under Beta! official release will be on Dec 2024
Instagram Night Sight is working on 6a. There's a moon icon as soon as it detects a low light environment.
This will likely be the last round of any feature updates for the pixel 6, but to be honest, nothing super exciting is being revealed. We've hit the point where all the new features are just AI stuff. I think we've hit peak phone.
Battery feature and settings reorganizing still not there. For me these are the biggest. Settings currently look ridiculously clustered.
I have the 80% option on my Pixel 6, beta
Now I'm going to check if it has other features I couldn't find on my Pixel 9 pro xl !!
Is the scrolling bug fixed ?
Does it finally have 'desktop mode'?
Can I ask how did you get the new Google Search page 4:42 ?
My google search looks outdated any ways to solve it? Or is it a limited device feature?
oneplus have this private space as well as another system on the same phone, adaptive chargins as well, and its for years, also screen recording thing. So looks like I have android 15 for months allready before pixel
Samsung has already a lot of these features 😎
I have a Pixel 8 and I didn't get most of these features after the 15 update. Maybe they are not available in India
Does Auracast and LE Audio finally work by default on Android 15?
لا أستطيع الانتظار لرؤية ما ستقدمه ÙÙŠ الÙيديو التالي
3:49 Bro is dishing out wrong info… Charging optimisation has not yet dropped…wasnt stable in time for the release. His review is based on the Beta in a desperate attempt to be the first android 15 video out there.
Only google pixel phone has an android 15 update other android phone brands has not yet.
Sounds like we're getting nothing. I mean even App-pairs is only for tablets?
Might as well stay on beta at least you get all the features the only thing that puts me off. Staying on beta is getting out of the beta in the future is an absolute nightmare and you have half a day window. Pretty much to get out without losing data that needs to be in a future update where I can come in and out of beta without resetting. The phone is Android 16. Base are open yet cuz I'll jump on that 15 is a joke
