It’s been about a year and a half since Asus launched their flagship Zenfone 5z in India and recently it’s been selling for at a drastically lower price point. Today, I re-review the Zenfone 5z and find out how this flagship phone from 2018 fares by today’s standards.

The Asus Zenfone 5z comes with a 6.2 inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ Resolution. There is a notch uptop which houses the 8MP selfie camera and other front facing sensors. The fingerprint sensor is on the back and it is a capacitive sensor which can unlock in 0.3 seconds .

Internally the Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip and is paired with 4/6/8 GB RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage. A Micro SD card slot is available for an expanded storage upto 1TB.

As of battery, we have a 3300mAh battery here and supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. The Zenfone 5z comes with support for NFC and the headphone jack is retained. We’ve also got dual front firing speakers for better audio.

As for cameras, the Zenfone 5z has a dual camera setup to the back. We have the new 12MP Sony IMX383 sensor with an f1.8 lens, that’s the primary and a secondary 8MP ultrawide camera.

  1. Using it from July 2018 and i wont switch to a new phone for atleast 2 years. Phone has no lag until now

Battery review is true. It has come down to less than average

So if you are a moderate user, two times a day you should charge

  2. After 3 to 4 years of this mobile am having problems with camera clarity the lens is always blurred and can't even see the images it's a flop mobile

  3. Hi man,
I'm using Asus ZenFone 5z still on Android Pie
My issue – My call logs are automatically deleted if they are 20days old !
    any solution please

  4. after i update my zenfone 5z the picture is blurred when i capture.. on the first it was a great and beautiful camera but when i start to capture the picture is a little bit blurred but it is not a 100% clear

  5. Asus zenfone 5z is a really great product. Personally i am with my Nova 5t, and it's a great phone, but I'm planning to get the 5z as a secondary phone, especially during the pandemic, separating school and personal life.

  6. Don't buy this phone bcoz phone is good but the services at the service center are worst l

ek baar aapka phone service center gaya to baar baar service center hi jata rahega

Mene 17 Oct 2018 me liya tha 6 mahine baad service center gaya mera phone or aaj tak service center hi ja raha hai even abhi b service center me hai mera phone worst service asus india

  7. Other than the battery life, this phone is a beast. Am using it for almost 2 years. No plans of upgrading to.other phone at all. And this can be brought now too.

  8. Never thought of using a phone from brand apart from samsung nokia or Apple, last year. Still I bought this beauty. It is still a great option given the price is about 20k. But one thing to be concerned about, is the battery backup as u mentioned.
