I don’t review Custom ISO or Custom Windows. Anything that requires downloading ISO is an immediate red flag. AtlasOS takes a different approach using official Microsoft ISOs and modifying them using an open source tool.

Please note: I do NOT review Custom Windows ISOs. If it requires you to download an ISO from a shady file sharing site or torrent… IT SHOULD NEVER BE USED!
Correct me if I wrong but I thought it was bad for the SSD drive to defrag/trim and that it only made for HDD drives?
i do not have anything important on my laptop but windows is so inefficent it eats alot of resources, tried arch linux.. efficent, updated but too hard for me, tried fedora, updated enough i guess but breakable, tried ubuntu and it has old software.. welp my choice now is atlasos.. i just write libreoffice documents and watch anime. tried your ctt tool but its not enough since it will not brute-force on windows… atlas will do that and improve performance on my old laptop. i am not gonna buy a new laptop bc microsoft is bad. i have a refurbished thinkpad.. its built to last while windows is built to buy a new pc every year

I still run it not sure if I need to reset windows fully with usb or just keep atlas too dumb for this
Chris, you gotta stop mentioning LTT in your videos or the rest of us will start to think you're not a serious channel.
I prefer an ISO, THIS wastes a lot of time. And deleting stuff leaves traces
Windows update ain’t gonna protect you from viruses you do,pe
Used Atlas for a few years on a secondary Windows machine and never ran into a problem. I suspect so long as you aren't spending your days downloading shady files you'll be just fine.
i only open youtube and sometimes facebook, using brave browser, currently using tiny 11, is it safe?
nice video btw 👌
Nice video BUT you mention that VBS is no longer needed, the good luck trying to install all AMD drivers since they use VBS for the driver installation process!
Supermium isn't safer than Linux nowadays
is it safe??
Not having SSD Trim enabled is absolutely insane. Was about to try this. I use my gaming PC in my living room just for that ,gaming so this would be ideal for me
Looks like they paid attention to videos like this. As nearly every recommendation listed has been implemented with the newer versions no longer trying to get rid of stuff like UAC, Defender and Virtualization. While updates been dialed back from complete removal to modifying it so it won't do stuff without permission.
Which I guess would make it not THAT hard to recommend. So long as people understand what they are doing.
Macrium Reflect backup = "Back Button"
Great video but all atlas change still different after one year l don't know what you think about it Chris titus if you can't make new video about atlos in 2025 thanks
8:06 wrong, it's not completely open source, Atlas OS playbook is but AME Wizard isn't and they try to hide it, they claim it is on their website but if you dig just a bit, you find out it isn't and they have encypted 7z archives in the public repo full of prebuilt DLLs
Mostly useless video, we know Atlas is not for average ignorant Joe, these mods are for chads, and we know where to walk and where not to, i was expecting a deeper dive into features or experience of removed features, but just reading a list is almost useless
Have you looked at it lately?
Looks vastly improved
Thinking of switching from atlas to stock windows because my PC is just too good

Tiny11 has an iso "maker" now.
I agree with almost everything here other than the VBS setting. It DOES defs take performance off the table with some games when enabled.
Your proverbial honesty without being mean is refreshing and why I trust you like a close friend. You are a good man Mr.Titus!
One problem I have found with atlas OS is that MS sign in being completely blocked is actually a bad thing. It means that no games that require Xbox Live (Minecraft, Microsoft Flight sim, Among Us just to name a few) will work
Lets assume we rely on something like bitdefender or kapersky for security, what are the disadvantages?
AS OF 2024 all these issues have been resolved, including updates
paranoid asf 😂😂😂😂
You can find lighter versions but this is the most stable one
Hey guys, can anyone let me know if those security issues have been fixed?
Is it possible to install it without reinstalling the win os? Like a patch.
I hate that because i got so manny bugs from games and randomly close the games or ramdom update steam games with some MB and need to check the files before play again
What I want to know is, if this would be perfect to be used on a standalone pc, to be mainly used for gaming? The lan networking concerns me for security reasons. I wouldn't want to put my whole network at risk for sakes of enjoying optimal gaming….
i've tried 3 times to provide the link to the trusted exe, but youtube says it is spam, you are downloading from the wrong place
Hi! What is the best custom ISO of Windows 11 with support for PT-BR to replace ChomeOS on a chromebook with a Celeron N4020 1.10GHz, 32GB of ROM and 4GB of RAM?
The biggest bloat in windows are the forced updates.
Well, how the hell do you get rid of the windows garbage? Quit talkin all high and mighty and fix it then.
ah cmon with ur windows security update you know like me that computer security is a myth there are no security at all you talk like if all windows update are good for your machine i had to unistall many updates cause it was creating troubles on my pc… the real security is yourself you are the only one that can monitor you processor and network usages…
Hey, I am going to create a new channel in purpose of sharing modern programming tutorials. So, sometimes I want to show up in the video. But, I can't find out how to earn such an amazing quality webcam video like yours. So, what's your tool setup of this video? What kind of webcam or camera do you use? What's your microphone? I am going to spend my time for this and wanna buy those kind of goods.
Hey how to remove atlasOS someone pls help
Hi, I was trying some things and noticed that the current version of AtlasOS comes with Windows Defender enabled, does that improve security a bit?
But using it just for gaming ..not reading mails no buying thins through internet.. just for gaming … would you recommend it?
I learnt that you can do similar things on your own with an unattended answer file within a stock windows ISO from Microsoft. Debloats and can set windows tweaks before you hit the account creation. And I run your windows too afterwards. On Windows 24h2 I got it to be as lightweight as windows 7 or bone dry 10.
Yeah there are features you have to sacrifice but if I need them, I'll run a VM
Basically, I don't trust third parties or first party ISO. Microsoft is entirely a spyware operating system
So what you're telling me is it's absolutely perfect for a retro gaming system which never goes online 👍
When installing Atlas on my Windows, will everything on my local drive C: be deleted? All my personal files and games and all that?
