So it's not fully streetable because it's not driven in the snow?
I have a nearly stock 92 GMC 2wd shortbed in the driveway that can't hook up in the rain even with 275/60r15s BFG TAs. Snow? Never take it out; it'd get stuck. It doesn't have a radio. According to your definition, it's as streetable as Fink's Nova.
"The transmission is a 3-speed Jeffco planetary with a Bruno setup that uses a PTC 9.5-inch converter. The highway speeds required on Drag Week and daily driver use are made possible with a GV overdrive unit, using a custom (by GV) adapter plate and shaft."
I know the car by what I've read; such as he's been in 2012 and 2013 DWs, totaling 2600+ street miles in those events alone. The only thing he's needed to replace on the trans (he acquired used) is the tailshaft bearing.
So it's a Lenco 3spd and GV overdrive, or what ? I ask you because you seem to know the car. And if converter, how you transbrake a Lenco?
