A friend hooked me up with this rust free 1974 karmann ghia that had been taken apart a long time ago for paint and never put back together, since then has been moved around from garage to garage loosing parts in the process, lets see what we have to work with and what it will take to fix it.

  1. Crazy to spray water inside the car. It will seep into all the hidden crevices and eventually start rust from the inside out. Totally unnecessary and counter-productive.

  2. I remember my first Karmann Ghia. It was a 1966 hard top found in a farmers field. Rebuild it, Put a 1600cc motor in it with a holley carburetor. Good times to California and back to Utah.

  3. I’ve always loved the Karmannghia. I own a 72 Baja Bug that I’m putting back together, but I’ve always wanted to own a Ghia.

As a kid, my uncle’s kid had one sitting in the garage that I really liked but didn’t know anything about it and was too young to drive. Wish I would’ve been able to own it.

  4. A friend of mine showed me "many years ago" how to start an engine with WD-40 in place of starting fluid. Have you ever tried this?
I really enjoy your program. I have been watching it for several years.

  5. I want a VW bug…like the white one in the background. And I hope they’re paying you to finish this jigsaw puzzle..😂 Watching the unboxing of parts made me irrationally angry for some reason.

  6. The Miller Auto Group license plate cover is most likely from one of the Larry H. Miller Auto Group dealers around the country. The first location opened it's doors in late 70, and there have been several more built since.

  7. This is a very nice car and in fairly good shape. I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I like the fact that you found a donor car. Best of luck on completing it.
