  1. Hey you inspired me to do my own water pump very big job for someone that has no clue I did it though go check it out yourself let me know how i did i made a video of it:) on my channel

  2. Don't you have mandatory yearly car inspections in the US? In Sweden, and probably many other European countries we have yearly mandatory inspections, if the car does not pass it is not allowed on the road anymore. To little breakning pad margin will fail your car

  3. So what would cause so much more wear on the passenger side over the driver side? Carting a fatty, I mean much larger individual… around in the passenger seat?….LOL

  4. im replacing the brake pads and possibly the rotors on a friends honda civic tomorrow and after watching rays video im sure that i will be successful and do a good job..
of course i know its going to take me a hell of a lot longer to do the job… haha.

  5. I agree with you on a lot of things but because the manufacturer decided to cheapen their build cost is no excuse for not doing things properly and safely. There are several things that manufacturers do not do that should always be done. Anti-seize on spark plugs they're in any aluminum motor. Anti-seize on the Hub when you put the rotor on, anti-seize on lug nuts or lug bolts. I have seen cars with the wheels seized to the vehicle with only 12,000 miles on them and less than 8 months old. Is that something that the manufacturer designed into the car to keep the Wheel from falling off?
Please don't ever use that excuse again!
Proof that you do not always listen to your own advice. The factory doesn't break them in when they put the brakes on. At least you're doing that right LOL.

  6. I bought a van that sounded like that…. I could play ring toss with the 'rotors'. Still have some weirdness with the brakes, but it stops now. It's amazing how bad brakes can get and still stop you, though.

  7. The customer knew that there's a noise to let you know to change your brake pads. He was just waiting for it to get louder because that's the true indicator of brakes need attention.

  8. I have found that if the outer pad wears faster than the inside pad, usually the caliper is binding or not floating back. Sticking pins or other hardware is usually the issue. If It's the other way around then it's usually a stuck piston. I did notice that when you put the inner pad on, the wear indicator on the inner pad should pull toward the pad as the rotor turns which is clockwise on the right side. That's the way I've always done to avoid it from being bent away and rendering it useless. Great video as always.👍

  9. Man they must have been riding those breaks HARD on that soul, 67k and the front break pads were gone? I have a 2010 that has almost 100k on it and I have only needed to replace the front breaks once since I got it.
