1. this is interesting mine just started doing this today i went outsdie ..maybe mine needs this valve adjustment ..i repair mowers but as a hobby i dont know everything so i come across new problems ehre and there so its nice to know..ive come across a valve problem before i had it running then just got rid of it. it doesnt rip out of my hand every pull but when it does it goes..feels like itd rip your arm off..ill take the cap off again and see but im no pro id just probabyl do this a .004 and .004 or ill look it up im not sure which is the exhaust and the other piston idk which..mine also stalls after starting so i just ordered a new carb i had this carb in my ultrasonic cleaner for 45 minutes and it still just starts then stalls but i couldnt remove ht emiddle jet its stuck in there so im guessing thats the culprit for that a clogged hole in there ..the carb looks decent enough but looks can be deceiving ive seen carbs that look good but alittle knick or soemthing somewhere and it doesnt close properly and it wont start or run properly i buy a new carb and it starts right up..

4. I haven't seen a lawnmower with a Tecumseh engine for decades, and I've never seen a flywheel assembly like that.

5. Kawasaki 6.5hp engine. I have the identical mower. I bought mine in 2005 and it starts first pull every year. It has been hesitating when pulling sometimes. But it starts so good that I never mess with it. I may reset the valves to spec this next summer – just because Mustie1 showed me how to do it.

10. I have learned a lot watching him. I tore my 27 ho bad boy mower down and fixed it and even cleaned the carb. It like going to small engine school and having an instructor the way he talks you through what he is doing why. Thanks Mustie 1

21. I'm curious as to why you don't check for a bent crank when you have a spun fly wheel key?
