5. My 2023 CT5 is just about the same – except a few more red wires across that positive plate. The pain is getting those 2 side clips unclipped. Not much room in there. Dang dealers should do this for free. Ha

   Update: it took me 4 min

9. So… doing this on my ATS following this video for hints. I disconnected my negative terminal, had to pause to go run an errand so I shut the trunk… guess what? You CAN’T OPEN THE TRUNK WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED. That’s tomorrow’s problem I guess. I think I’m going to have to try to reach the emergency trunk release through the pass through. 😠 🙄

    FYI for anyone looking for the little plastic pin to plug the vent hole that he was talking about. My old battery didn't have one but my new one came with a 3×3 inch red plastic square that had it connected to it.

17. Almost the same as the ct4v blackwing. I had to change my battery and it took forever. Such a pain in the butt. I broke a piece of plastic that holds that trunk plastic in place but it went back together okay and I can't tell the difference. But man was it hard. Changing my oil was way easier!

19. After battery replacement I get code U01B0 Lost Communication with Battery Sensor Module. Any suggestions

20. This video was somewhat helpful but there was a change on the 2016 Cadillac ATS .. First the trunk cargo hold downs take a T40 bit … Second there is a hold down clamp on the left side of the battery that needs to come out and the workshop manual does not say anything about it. Otherwise it went fairly well.

21. Smh just paid 400 to have the battery changed at the Cadillac dealership. The must have used apple phone engineers to build the ATS smh

    This way the battery charging system can adjust the way it is changing?

29. Fukc Cadillac for making it so hard to change the goddamn battery. I'm trying to extract mine from a 2014 cts and I can't believe all the bull shit you have to do to pull the battery out. You're basically destroying the upholstery of the trunk. Whoever designed this should thrown in fuckin prison.

30. Way too much work, just get a box cutter and outline cut over the battery is all you need to do, makes no sense to just have the negative side with a open top 🤦‍♂️

33. Had a machanic replacee my battery in my 2013 ATS but when he finished the installation my A/C panel would not function propeerttly. All the lights on the pannel were lit but I could not turn a/c or heat controls on or off. Blows hot on one side cold on the other. The machanic can not fix it, telling me its not his fault 😲. still not fixed as of this day. Is there any way I can disconnect a fuse to cut a/c off? Oh by the way you did an excelent job on the automobile and the video.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

35. THANK YOU VERY, VERY much. Now i think i can do my 2015 ATS battery instead of paying $ "batteries plus" to replace it. This has been much helpfull. Thanks for sharing. will save me a lot of money.

40. Wonderful video. This is really descriptive and informative.

    However I'm kicking myself now because I own an ATS and need to change the battery soon. This process from G M is truly insane.
