  1. I'm going to drive all the way to your mechanic place for you to do mine transmission fluid change I trust you you actually do a good job all these other mechanics where I'm at they think that they're high stuff and they think that they think Jack around people

  2. I’m thinking it has a CVT. The shift points are artificially created to emulate a traditional automatic transmission. Even my CRV hybrid does this.

  3. I once had a truck tire blow up near me. It was 2 lanes over to my right and a couple of car lengths ahead and my van got hit with tons of shrapnel and it sounded like a bomb went off. A piece of one of his wheels landed in front of my right front tire and punctured it. Scared the crap out of me.

  4. I grew up working on cars Ray, watching you work is awaesome. My dad had his own repair shop (mostly bodywork accident repair) he took me out of school ten years old and that was my first employment. That was over fifty years ago when cars were very basic things, no ECU, power windows were rare, fuel injection even more rare… there was not even OBD1. So, every video you make i watch with great interest. Now at 63 years old and currently homeless living in a MB SLK300 with my companion parrot Geordie (blue crested amazon) you are my primary entertainment. You do an amazing job, i would bring my vehicle to your shop every single time for the things i cannot do myself. Michael, UK South of England..

  5. Hope the Transmission Fluid Change does not bite you at the rear end:
Honda is VERY PICKY when it comes to transmission fluid. Use any other fluid other than Honda's, there is a high probability you will kill it prematurely. Ask Eric the Car Guy Or Scotty and they can tell you all about it.

  6. Talking to yourself is ok, as is answering yourself. The problem comes when you ask yourself to repeat what you just said because you were not paying attention to what you were saying.

  7. I know that this reply is very late, but only found Ray's videos about 2 months ago.
I owned a couple CRVs and my sister owned a Honda ??, where all of these vehicles needed to use, only Honda ATF, and the level was checked with the engine off. Was the ATF Ray put in Honda ATF, just sold in barrels? And it sounded like the engine was running, when he checked the level.
    Did I miss something?
    Thanks

  8. I drove a “semi truck” or artic over here in U.K. A trailer tyre blew on the motorway and it took with it the whole mudguard, blew off the steel bars that hold the mudguard on (they’re welded to the frame) and also blew out the metal under un bars. It also sent debris in a cloud of smoke across the entire 6 lanes. It shut the whole motorway both sides for 10 mins whilst they cleared off all the debris. When it went the whole truck lent over at an angle. I thought a bomb went off! I dreaded a steer tyre going

  9. Couple things, A. Dude, Semi Truck tires are so dangerous. One exploded next to me when I was passing one on I-96. I thought a shotgun went off. B. Is tailgating still not illegal? C. I still have to tell my fiance to not scream or say anything suddenly, as I think she's warning me of a deer. lol

  10. Mr. Ray, I would like to ask you a question. When taken off the battery terminals, which one should you take off first? An which one should you put back on first? I'm a kinda new tech.

  11. It wasn't all that long ago that personal vehicles had spit rims. I bought a '76 Ford F250 Camper Special off a friend and it had 16" spit rim wheels. At the first opportunity, I converted it to 16.5" wheels which were not spit rims (that's why those wheels had the extra 1/2" in diameter. 20 years later (after spit rims were outlawed on non commercial vehicles) 16" wheels (non-split rims) came back. I still have a 16.5" wheel and tire of my '82 GMC G-15 out back.

Of course with the bigger brake systems on larger SUVs, 17" and 18" wheels are common. For the pavement princesses 20" and 22" wheels are out there on the road.

  12. Yes thank you very much I think that most shops when they're taking a time to do more than one drain and fill you flushed it out right and did a great job as usual right thank you very much but I still wonder is there a filter on the transmission or in it have a great day
