  1. Hey Ray them 1R-1807 filters don’t have a bypass valve in them the cat engines they use them on have a bypass valve in the engine! So when you use that filter there is no restriction in the oil galleys to create pressure on start up which will eventually kill your bearings

  2. Got the same kit for my 07 LBZ ran 10qts of RotellaT5 and 1quart of Hot Shots sticktion eliminator.
Right of the bat operating engine temps are at least 30-40 degrees cooler on average. Lower Egts, and additional filtration. I have positive results so far.

  3. I would’ve just changed the oil if I was doing a filter change/upgrade even if I still had 53% it just save me from doing it soon after doing a filter change/upgrade even if not to be rude just work smarter not harder

  4. Friend, I want to put a larger oil filter on my Ram 1500 4.7 V8, the original filter thread is M22x1.5, I want to put a filter with a 1.16 thread, can this kit be used on it? Thanks.

  5. For those who are of the opinion that all filters are pretty much the same, or that X or Y company makes CAT filters and are therefor just as good, I would point you in the direction of the Adept Ape channel, and suggest you watch his video titled "Are CAT filters worth the money?" The specifically relevant part is from 1:50 to about 4:30

  6. Is there any reason why you would not put on a PPE oil pan versus leaving the stock pan which holds like a half a quarter oil that you can’t drain

  7. Love the video and you’re funny hehe …
So question you’re saying that upgrade gets you more oil pressure?
I currently have trouble with my Duramax giving me low pressure oil. I recently change the sensor and it’s the if I do this upgrade will it help?😱 you think soo

  8. Ray really thinking of getting one of these! Any update on this? Thanks.
After re and re watching this at your time of 10:29 I see something hanging down at the 12 o-clock position. It is too late now?? is that as it looks like Teflon tape? Or was it the thread?
Yes I try to watch you all the time. Keep up the good work! Thanks

  9. Ray I have a question, if you would answer it. I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra v8 SR5 with 65,000 miles and in 2019 had the brake fluid flushed and they said they did a BG flush. My parking light just came on (21 deg. weather right now) came on when i pressed the regula brake to change out of park to reverse. Brake fluid is at the minimum mark so i was going to add some DOT 3. Called the dealer and they said i would need to flush it again, because i can't use Regular DOT 3 because of the BG flush. They said I would have to purchase the whole packet $65.00 to get a quart.
Trying to make this as short as possible sorry. When they were doing the flush in 2019, they came into the waiting room and said there was a problem. One of the cylinders popped out and they could not push it back in place, so they didn't have a OEM brake calipers and replaced it with something else. After watching your work on brakes apparently they didn't support them or block them from coming out while beading the brakes. QUESTION IS simply what type fluid should i use to fill the brake reservoir back to full. Thanks

  10. I like how you are tinkering with the car and also chatting while you are doing that. And how you position the camara so we can see what you're doing. 😄

  11. You might want to rethink your decision here, Cat oil filters do not have bypass values in them. The AC Delco does. Do a little more research to verify.
    Good luck!

  12. Memo to self: If I ever show up at Ray's Garage for service, bring a case of Brake Kleen with me to save on service charges. LOL RAY, for the love of God please stop apologizing for doing an oil change. I'm PRETTY sure nobody is REEing because you're doing oil changes on the channel with all the good stuff you do, and if they are….SCREW 'em, let them go elsewhere.
