  1. Cool to see Cleet hit up the Tail! I've been on that road a few times (been a while), and some parts of it are like a roller coaster. While there are definitely more fun/challenging roads along the Blue Ridge, The Tail certainly has the name and reputation (primarily due to guys driving fast into semis that block both lanes). Tons of cool car meets happen throughout the years, but I haven't been in forever since the road and area is such a tourist trap, nowadays. On the weekends in summer, it's hard to drive fast for long because of one slow car holding everybody up, and all the pull-off areas and overlooks will be packed full. Still, it's one of those roads that I think all gear heads should hit up at least once, just to experience the road and the culture/history there.
Also just wanna add… While I LOVE 129 (I live fairly close to it), it's nowhere NEAR 318 curves. I counted the curves years ago (via dashcam footage and viewing a map), and honestly can't remember the number, but it's less than half that (I THINK I remember it being closer to 120-130). Funny enough, it was one guy that used to race his FD there (Initial D touge style) who originally said it had 318 curves in an interview (Can't remember his name, but it's a fun story if you can find it online). When asked how many curves he thought it had, he just pulled the number out of his ass, and nobody ever questioned him. 😂

  2. Thanks guys for coming to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park in NC and TN. The Asheville area is my stomping ground. If you look 👀 on the map of the Blue Ridge Parkway ( which is a great ride for Bega's) which is famous around the world for its awesomeness 😊. Anyway look for NC Highway 151 that comes off the Parkway down the mountain so steep it makes the Tail of the Dragon child's play Brothers. I live on a mountain nearby across from the Upper Homony Volunteer Fire Department. Google it and come on up here. Yesterday it was about 88 degrees in Asheville and only 81 at my place due to the elevation. Thanks for the ride along. It was great stuff.

  3. WHY so many accidents on Dragon Tail?
BECAUSE the line up of trees create flashing and mess with the mind.
We had the same thing on our roads here in far-north CA (CA/OR border). Some trees were removed to stop sequence of flashing, and no more accidents.

  4. It’s exhausting to hear people incorrectly referencing the Dragon as the tail to be at the top of the mountain. These people are brain dead. To look at any drawing of a dragon would show that the head of the Dragon is up high and the tail is low on the ground and curled up. Why would these morons claim that the Dragons tail is way up higher than the head being laid out flat on the ground. Bottom line is that people in Tennessee are a little bit inbred and can’t figure out up from down. Lmmfao !!! 🥴🧐🤨🤓😎🖕🏻

  5. This unlocked a nightmare memory from 5yos being in the RV going through some mountains (I think in Pennsylvania?) and my Dad saying, "Oh ish, this is it" every five seconds😂I had nightmares for years after that!

  6. I never thought about the fun to be had in racing RV's! I was cry-laughing watchin' y'all bump each other, bawling the tires on those curves and then the wipers blew off! 🤣 Y'all keep going! We're all watching! 💪💯👍🏁

  7. That would stress me out so much driving those rvs like they are not knowing if its gonna make it or not and them being pos's. I know yall are mechanics but damn I would have such angst
