In this video I have a look at a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze RS that came on with a customer complaint that his fans are coming on to much. I thought that was kind of odd, so I thought maybe the fan was just louder and he was just hearing them. Let’s see what we find. -Enjoy

  1. I was wondering, I have a 2012 Chevy Cruz 1.4 turbo I was wondering the operating temperature where the fan would come on like 190° or 180°… I’m not noticing my fan coming on… Sometimes I see my temperature the read out in the dash… I’ve seen it go as high as 230°… Is that normal?

  2. My Chevy Cruze 2013 cooling fan comes on about 30 seconds after I start it. The car thinks it's overheating. It isn't. But I don't know what to do. Plus I get on the message console something about the AC disabled due to high engine temp.

  3. No multiple cooling fans just one that’s stepped. It has like a “high”, “medium”, “low”. I’m dealing with a 2016 that is running flat out all the time the vehicle is running. Codes for IAP intake air temperature and pressure sensor.

  4. Can someone please explain what was wrong? I saw the video like 3 times and idk I'm just retarded or what but I can't seem to find the solution

  5. I have had the same problem with my cruze and I have replaced the fan with resistor pack 3 times but after a week, the 2 low speed resistors blow each time. I have scrutinized the wiring diagram and there isn't anything other than the fan that would blow those resistors (there's no chance of a short to ground between the resistors and fan due to wire routing) other than a faulty part design. I have also seen quite a few cruzes with the same exact problem. Every video I find about it ends with replacing the fan/resistor and calling it good. I really wish someone would do a follow up!

  6. Had a Chevrolet a couple of years ago and when the outside temp would go to 90 plus and the A/C went on the second fan would not go on and cool the engine down and when I took it back to the dealer they could find any problems with it and I took it back to them at least 4 times and GM refused to say there was an issue and I got rid of the car and I have sworn off American made cars from that time on.

  7. Lately i've been hearing my fan because the ac is on but it sounds much louder than I have ever heard it before almost like a prop plane. Also the engine bay seems excessively hot even though the engine does not overheat. Is my fan broken or something?

  8. Where are you located? My Chevy dealer just replaced my 2011 Malibu cooling fan (broken plastic housing noise supposedly) clacking growl stopped but theirs still loud humming and comes on with a cool engine. I'm in NY; Where are you located? You know your stuff. Thanks

  9. I wonder if GM manufacturing Plane engine how many times we would have a catastrophic events..All Chevy have same issue Fan blowing full speed never turns off or never turn on
