In this video I slap on some customer supplied parts on the front of a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic. It includes the front pads, rotors, calipers and brake hoses along with a brake fluid flush. -Enjoy!

I respect the fact you’ll put in parts the customer gets. Most shops near me wont. They have to buy the parts & they always get the most expensive ones. Whenever i buy my own brakes & rotors i cant find any shop that will put them in. I end up doing it.
well this was pointless on a car like that, why does this guy think he needs upgraded brakes on that thing? He would have been better off just saving his money and getting new pads or something
I just had this happen but it was the pin in the connector. No circuit codes though.

Very organized/ clean / with a real solid once over and wipe off. I have same car and just disassembled / sum wire brushing then a quick vacuum . Thank you for sharing the different silicone and grease you have used.. Love getting New-solid information.knowledge from a well made video ( perfect enough detail any one that has worked on cars even some should have the confidence to make it a DYI’r…) and to boot makes it entertaining and funny one liners. Subscribed and liked 💪🫵
We haven't got snow so salt must eat your vechicles quick U must be expert in taking rusty bolts hate real bad rust makes life difficult
I always watch this as he switched to the brakes that my 2018 uses from stock.
And some sites always label the wrong brakes as compatible for mine.
So it’s a helpful reminder without going to my car and trying to stare through a crack in wheel to see them.
It's always charming to hear the banter between you and Mrs. O, and watch fine work being done.
We don’t get to see a lot of S.M.A videos that don’t include rust dust lingering in the air. Nice.
Amazing how much people make of the scam "Environmentally Friendly" tags. Everything we make on earth comes from the environment.
Unicorn tears…grass clippings i guess 😆
“Unicorn tears.†😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Is it a big deal if you dont have the screw? Not having a screw just increases the chance of wearing on that back mating surface? thanks
There's no lack of stop signs in that little to test out your brakes. South Main Auto brake testing facility.
Eric, this is a fantastic channel. Not only do we learn tons of great information but you never fail to make me smile and laugh out loud. You and your wife are a great team. Thanks for sharing.
AC Delco parts for a Sonic?
good video showing real world brake job tips. I like it.
“Unicorn tears†HAHAH! Love it!
The cost of the brake parts probably exceeds the value of the Sonic
EBC are popular here in the UK, Most would describe them as "OEM+" Green Stuff pads being the "entry" level fast street pad. Good quality brakes.
Really simple. Polymer zinc coating on rotors prevents rust jacking on the perimeter. It'd be requred in my book on any road that's salted. The coating gets cut only under the pads. Same as NAPA super supremes and other polymers.
