  1. Wow. Well. I arrived here because my 01 Tahoe is grinding balls in R. Hope its the transmission. 😅 Thanks to this video series, I've got everything loose and dropped BUT the transmission itself. Beautiful weather in Texas until about an hour ago. Cold and WINDY AF. 😢 Thank you for filming all of this. Will be my transmission odyssey map of success.

  2. I’m getting a new Jasper transmission put in my 2002 Chev Silverado 4 by 4. Watching these videos gives me a better appreciation of what the mechanics are up against.

    Thanks for the excellent videos.

I think repairing older vehicles will be more popular now that the prices of new and used are so ridiculous.

  3. Thanks so much for this in depth video series, I bought an O2 Tahoe for $750 with a bad transmission a week later I was driving it. Right before I bought it I watched the three videos just so I would know exactly what I had to do. We even went back to it just to get some pointers afterwards, so these 3 videos really helped me, this is my first 4×4 so again thank you so much

  4. How did you get to that part of the menu on the Autel scanner, I have the same car and scanner and did the transmission replacement but how do I do the transmission adaptations

  5. You showed the pan bolt you took out from the Jasper trans bracket, and mentioned you would give it the "snugga-dugga", but you did not show that you snugged it…..did you forget ?

  6. I know that my wife and I will do everything in our power to keep our vehicles because I will not pay what the ripoff dealers and manufactures are asking for a new or used vehicle. In the next several years there is going to be a lot of vehicles that are unsafe on the roads because people can’t afford different ones !

  7. Always fun to watch your work. I live in the crunchy midwest..97 blazer with 450k. I’m waiting to come to a quick stop and the body flies off the frame. Main parts have been changed for so long I get them for free because of the lifetime warranty.

  8. When doing just a rear main seal, is it possible to leave the trans and transfer case together and just push them back far enough to work on the seal?

  9. I once put a locker kit in the transfer case for an engineer at nasa. On backing out of my driveway, I heard a horrible grinding. Pulling it back in, I realized his differential case was bone dry. Next day at work he had the biggest smile on his face, commenting on how nice it drives. I told him that his drive train should never be under water.
Most 4×4 owners think their vehicles are impervious to water.

  10. Nice explanation, however you failed to mention the alignment hole in the flywheel to bolt up the torque converter. I've seen many techs fight trying to align the converter bolts because they didn't know there is one specific hole you start with.
