  1. No AI is not gonna take over there’s still gonna be drivers but they’re gonna add AI in the trucks. They cannot replace truck drivers that’s ridiculous and more dangerous to have a truck with nobody in it. The drives itself that’s stupid.

  2. So as these guys try to find a way to get themselves rich, what do you say to all the truckers out there like me that are going to be out of a job? It can run 24hrs a day, you can't. It's going to save the companies millions of dollars. Well personally sir, I feel like anyone who pushes a technology that will take jobs from people should also have to come up with a solution for how those people will make a living once you've robbed them of their livelihood. "OH they can just go do something else." Bud, I'm 42 years old and this is the job that I love and planned on doing until I retire. Too old to go learn a new trade and if automated trucks are so close to happening then im just screwed. You think you're doing mankind a service? Maybe in a generation or 2 when being a driver is phased out but the transition is going to hurt a lot of people. That's not your problem though is it? Personally, I hope your entire company just absolutely tanks and you're left bankrupt and destitute…maybe it'll make you think about what your revolutionary idea is gonna do to the 3 and half million truckers out there who have made you, your parents and your grandparents lives even possible.

  3. The threat of ai driving truck is far from happening but there is a serious push for the software to automate everything from routing to invoicing, what they are leaving out is , that the driver will lose his leverage to NEGOTIATE RATES!!! that’s the Trojan horse in all this

  4. Hype. They’ve been saying this for years and nothing. And let’s just say hypothetically this technology does take off. Why root for it? It will displace millions. It might be someone else today but it could be you tomorrow

  5. So how is it that a Tesla driver in a 4,000lbs vehicle gets arrested for reckless driving while sleeping behind the wheel in autonomous mode, but a driverless 80,000lbs vehicle on a interstate highway is allowed? Answer is greed.

  6. No these people want to be greedy it's a out money and don't care how many American Dreams this will ruin , and she didn't make money because they had there own truck and all drive for a company that will pay for fuel and maintenance

  7. We have to change with technology. Now, are we going to be paid to stay home now that all our jobs have been taken away? Companies need money from consumers… If you have no consumers because there are no jobs available how do you make money?

  8. If that engineer brings trucks are gonna drive 24/7 without a person he’s living in a bubble. Who’s gonna put fuel in the truck when needed ? Who’s gonna make sure a load is secure or a strap didn’t break ? Who’s gonna call in when the truck breaks down ? Who’s gonna stop threw a check point for inspection ? You still need a person in the cab for all those things.

  9. What are these engineers plans for what to do with those current drivers and drivers who will be effected in the future?

What are those people going to do for food clothing and shelter?

    They’ll just become homeless?

Is all the money going to go to the greedy companies?

  10. Look at what happened with the colonial pipeline being hacked. Making trucks fully autonomous is a bad idea. Not to mention it would kill millions of jobs. Make them more fuel efficient or use an alternative energy source all together. An adaptive cruise control and lane hold is fine. But not driverless!

  11. This is bs , that lady and guy is not making money because they are working for the wrong people, there is bank money in trucking , that guy is getting banbooed by the broker , his broker house is on the lake I bet.

  12. There are more truck drivers than any other profession, that's true in every country. What will the largest profession on earth do for a paying job once the there is no work for these people?

  13. artificial intelligence is not only going to put truckers out of work , eventually it will put all of us out of work. there are robots everywhere , in fact very soon man will wind up being obsolete in the work force. there is such a push by all these tech companies to make humans lazy. i don't need alexa to control all the functions in my home , i am very capable of turning lights on and off , ajusting the thermostat , and refuse to be a slave to technology. when you start talking tractor trailers driving themselves , i say slow the hell down . computers aren't perfect , and one mistake could be the end of someone's life. part of driving is being in control of your own vehicle , not leaving it up to all the latest tech gadgets to avoid accidents. the corporate world seems to be designing these things to save on wages for human beings , to rack up even more profit. artificial intelligence seems to be driven more by greed , than common sense. the way we are going our planet will soon be in control by robots , and there will no longer be any need for humans to inhabit the planet , there won't be anything left for us to do. eventually all these tech geniuses will be put out of work too , because the robots won't need them , cause they will have their own thoughts ,and be in complete control. what possible use could they have for humans ?

  14. Remember what UBEr did to taxi? …the world waits for no one. Unfortunately us truck drivers will be replaced. Best thing we can do is hope it does not happen in our generation and advice our kids that pathway is closed

  15. Getting rid of the worst bunch of drivers on the road will be refreshing. I for one am looking forward very much to all truckers being off the road.
