Silverado Busted BOLT Extraction. Welid it ON! Part 2 Burn it IN! Nuclear Mode! Chevy Silverado 5.3 Exhaust and Cylinder Head https://youtu.be/A6PubZO_pus
I had a customer car one time making metal on metal grinding sounds with the brakes. It was brand dural last brake pads, and o e hyundai rotors. We bought brand new napa premium brake pads and rotors, and that took care of the problem. Matching brand pads and rotors definitely matters.😊
Your fault Ray, stud removal is simple if you manipulate the stud backwards and forwards graduly cleaning out the hole, and please leave the penetraing do its job, you are to fast expecting it to be free far to soon. Pete from Australia. Love the show very much. Done correctly that stub would have come out so easy.
lol how did they hear a grinding over that exhaust
It’s ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS going to be the hardest one to get to NO MATTER WHAT 😡
So how many mental MF’s went through your brain pan?!? Lmfao!
Don’t destroy nature… when you do, it results in fear.
Hold on i hadda take a leak
Thanks
Great movie! Apocalyptico.
Imagine that
There is no reason to spend all that time and disconnect steering shafts to remove that manifold just let it sit there it wasn't even in the way of you getting to your bolts you're only going to have to fish it back in again
Grinding? Put some coffee beans in it!
Subchannel idea: Rainman Ray's Movie Reviews – I would enjoy that
Crap happens
Beam the manifold out, Scotty.
Where there is a will, there is a young lady.
Click is not a four letter word.
Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Yeah, it's been a year. But I still laugh… " no leverage on this bolt, there's a car in the way…" 😂 😂 😂 Just struck me as funny.
And my OCD was redlining with that wire loom hanging in the way. Arrghhh..l
Sometimes you just have to walk away and regroup.
Brake fluid per owners manual should be changed every year! Bad things happen if not done. Anti-lock claims this is a MUST DO!!!
Very much appreciate your effort at integrity and good work
What a bad and stupid design, sparge plug by the exhaust manifold, of source those spark plug wires will fall apart.
What happen, somebody forgot to put brake pad, and put only one and install the caliper, or the brake pad got out from there after complete wear out.
He deleted the part where the head had to be taken off and sent to a machinist😂
Let the exhaust heat up by letting it run, before you try to remove bolts. Works well without breaking bolts. Of course wear gloves.
I wouldn't own a Silverado after 1999.
Man this was one of my favorite videos of Rays i was just so mad that the last stud broke again upon extraction but yeah great video
Best feeling in mechanic'in, is getting a stud/bolt unstuck!!
Please slow down when you work. You are very good at what you do, Mr. Ray. Hard to keep up sometimes. I know your limited on time, but your fast sometimes, and get me worried about quality.🫣👌
Ya turned injun didn't ya?
and after that they taught each other how to make Fry bread lol
Dorman 917-107. dont even have to pull manifold
Greetings: Not "Crew cab" . That is Extended cab.

Big fat 5/16 fender washer against head. Weld to bolt. 5/8 or larger nut to weld to fender washer. Completely! That much heat usually walks a broke off bolt out of an aluminum head like butter. A few attempts to get the correct technique and theyre pretty easy after u know..
Heat the broken stud with a welder, let it cool and it will come out. If not weld a nut on it .
Does it have aluminum heads ?
If it’s a old guy he drives with foot on the brake !
