Ray broke it.
My older son would tell you it is
' bro – kan '
Excact same thing happened to my truck. Developed a skip when I was out of town and it had rained the night before and got caught in two rain storms on my way home that made it skip even worse. Long story short, it was throwing codes out of the blue on everything, I was at my whits end when I went to check the crank sensor and seen that the plug in had some bare wire showing and then I seen the ground that was on the block and about every wire had some insulation missing from it. So I’m thinking when I was in those storms the water was getting on those wires and making them arc spark and that was my issue. Haven’t repaired it yet but that’s exactly what it has to be.
Next week Ivan gets a tow in from florida, and every pin to ECU is loose from probing with wrong size pin meter probe……
Talk about going down a rabbit hole, every step of the way you’re finding something else.
Great job!!

Like to meet these engineers who decided to design an electronic throttle body in a dark alley
It was at this moment, that Ray realized this wiring harness was assembled by a color blind illiterate individual…
Great job Ray!!
Do you have a scope yet?
If there was ever a vehicle that needed a replacement wiring harness.
I'm local and looking for side jobs as well as a place to buy for my family and I, a carpenter by trade and more than knowledgeable on the aspects of building high quality homes of all types
You cite (33:11) "connected with the correct resistance". What is meant by / what are correct resistances for a connection? Word that not be as close to 0 as possible? How would one figure this out of there is a specific value specified and where would one find that?
They made some of those with a 5'9 in it too
The fix gonna cost more than the truck. When you start looking for electrical problem, prices can soar.
Wire pinouts at the TPS are fubar. Move pins!
Pull the transmission out easier and the dipstick will be the problem/ the fix to the harness.
Yup. Sometimes they tell you to check for corrosion before replacing parts. Always use a scantool. My engine light was on because the secondary radiator fan was out. To GM,, that didn't mean the motor was about to fall out. It meant w/o that 2nd fan the car will be fine unless extreme conditions were introduced. So I'm looking for a fan. New or used. In the process of searching I find info on how this car had corrosion issues on the regular. And before purchasing parts to try disconnecting & cleaning. Sure enough, I unplugged the fan connector hit it w/ corrosion inhibitor,, plug it up, fan came on immediately. For other issues,,same car. Went down the wires found more corrosion. 1 by 1 re-ran about 2' of wiring. 30 pieces. Passed inspection w/ as they say, Flying colors. I let my daughter track & connect about 5 of them. She says, that's easy!.
Does anyone remember 7 wires and 2 battery cables was all it needed to run. I miss the old cars
I’m guessing the owner thinks if he just throws the parts under the hood and closes it, everything will eventually find its place and the truck will fix itself 🤷â€â™‚ï¸
Are you working for a dodge dealership 🤔 ninety percent of your videos are now dodge/ram/jeep crap🤷â€â™‚ï¸
Wow, great work finding the issue with this one.
I had 2 5.7's and a 4.7 and they never gave me problems. I think it's hard to go by what a mechanic says because he only sees vehicles on their worst days. Plus most of these trucks you work on are 15-20 years old
Widespread use of CB radio would help to prevent these sort of crashes.
Bro i been watching your videos for a long time and I’ve learned few thing from your videos. Again congratulations on your shop the only thing i can say is you being a good mechanic, honest and making a honest living that’s great but i imagined your shop way cleaner than what it is. I guess you been so busy you haven’t had time to clean. I am not being a jerk just telling you.
No wonder normal people can not work on cars anymore
