The customer received some EXPENSIVE estimates from the dealer for general maintenance and tune-up. They want a second opinion and today we are going to see if those recommendations were correct and if their price point fit those recommendations. 1. I have a 2006 Toyota Solara – 3.3 V6.
I have changed plugs and coil packs a couple of times. Removing and replacing that manifold and the rear bolts are a genuine PITA.

  2. Sales tax is regressive and hurts poor people while being insignificant to rich people. Rich people get rich using our shared roads, power grid, communications networks, and educated work force. They should pay their fair share, and that’s why income tax.

  3. I never really have a buy in on what you say or talk about. To be honest, I’m just glad you do. That’s really the biggest draw you have for me personally. It’s so refreshing to hear what you have to talk about when there are so many people I would ignore. So thanks Ray. There’s a great deal going on during your videos, and I for one and very grateful for all you share

  4. Haha, I also once broke a windshield and it was also a vw touareg but I indeed broke it on the underside there was a smale stone inside the rubber and when I placed the plastic back it cracked 30 min later the crack was already on the top of the windshield.

  5. I simply pop the wires out of the plastic connectors and pop them into a new plastic housing. No soldering, cutting or heatshrink required. Just a tiny screwdriver.

  6. Typical stealership trying to upsell. Wait. Did I just type what I was thinking¿ I enjoy your videos. But it’s the strangest thing. At the end of your videos. I’m getting smacked in the face. I don’t understand it. 😂

  7. I bought a 15 year old Honda from a first owner old lady who serviced her car at the Honda dealership every year for 15 years. She had only done 25000 miles. When I bought the car from her she gave me a big binder containing all the itemised receipts from 15 years of dealership "service". The dealer was at least honest in that they had not needlessly replaced parts, but they charged $450 annually for "service" that included only an oil change (engine only takes 3.8 litres of 5w30) and topping off the coolant. And indeed, a $2 crush washer. Meanwhile, when I got the car, there was still the original 15 year old tyres on it…

  8. Never take your car to a dealership for repairs unless.

    1. It's under warranty
    2. Free maintenance until 25kmiles.
    3. There is a recall.
    4. You're the owner of the dealership.
