  1. Stop and go traffic? You say it should be go and stop? Saying that in order to stop you have to go first. I think that stop and go is the proper order because you have to stop before you can go.

  2. Learned some good stuff! Thanks for not speeding up where it was important for you to explain what the issue was. How long should it take a shop to replace both control arms that have an attatched ball joint? ….for my 03 Mustang GT. I’m guessing 45 minutes per side?

  3. I am really surprised that on some things you take the steps to ensure mating surfaces are clean so it bonds properly. But everytime you weld, you never clean the surface first. A wire brush, flap wheel or the ziz wheel would help you get a better weld and look better, you can even grind it after to make it look a little better. I honestly wish you would work on that part of your skillset. But I also agree with others, most shops would not have touched that unless the owner put new lower control arms in it.

  4. I'm a DIY'er and one of the experienced mechanic showed me Screwdriver simple technique to push the caliper pistons back by shoving the screwdriver inside the disk and slowly applying pressure. Simple and effective technique with out needing any compression tools. Tips of the trade.. 🙂

  5. I like what you do man, and I know this video is old and plenty of folks have said it. But lower control arms are cheap. Welding ball joints is nothing but lipstick on a pig.

  6. 2:21 i used that same tool trying to get my tie rod end off, lets just say the tie rod won the battle and broke the tool sending a chuck of metal flying at a high rate of speed suprised it didn't hit me..

  7. Yeesh, get a press. Chisel is the best way to destroy that new ball-joint. Guess you didn't take that ASE certification class on suspension. If I see a mech do this to my car, my steel toed boot would be put to good use. Boot him outta the shop gents.
