  1. I have an 806 and am having a hard time finding the shift linkages that are under the cover behind the steering wheel if anyone can point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it.

  2. 17:58 I am in the middle of this same repair. Getting this part out was not as easy as Pete’s. I had to hammer the gear selector rod out to the drivers side. Then use a punch from the drivers side to hammer this part out. Took about an hour of beating on it.

  3. Pete I have a question as I am starting this project on my 706gas. I have read that things fall out of place when lifting up this plate upon removal. Is that true? Just worried something will fall out and I won't know how it came off.

  4. Omgosssh ! It's great to be back enjoying your videos Pete! We've been without cable or internet from an ice storm in Michigan Feb 21st and it's our first day back to catch up with all that we have missed ! Talk about being addicted to something ! 🤣 my husband and I were biting at the bit to get reconnected and back on utube ! Pete you are an amazing teacher for those that understand what you are talking about and girls like me that know a little from our previous experiences helping our husband's with their tractors… and even those that don't know anything …my little granddaughter stays focused listening to you and she's only 3 yrs old ! Your special calming demeanor keeps our interest whatever you're presenting each time you share a video. You're vast knowledge and experience shines through by your thorough descriptions and explanations! They are magnificent ! I thank you Pete and Hilarie along with her faithful helpful hands and winning smile…she a sweetheart ! God bless y'all ! 🐽

  5. I have no idea why I love this stuff! I wanted to ask as a welder , Can you not weld material in the hole and re-drill the hole for a standard size? I simply love this channel for 1 million reasons.

  6. I have a 966 and the speed select moves freely through the 1-4. (Range select works fine) I have taken panels off and haven't been able to locate the issue. Trying to figure out what I'm missing and avoid a repair shop bill. Do you or anyone else have any ideas what I'm missing?

  7. "You're not a Prybar; now THAT'S a Prybar"!,… great Croc-Dundee reference! Still chuckling on that! Great video (as they all are). Love the variety of content you & your family impart to make these happen.

  8. Totally unrelated to this video Pete – I was just on Facebook looking at some stuff and noticed a Home Hacks story. Guess what it was about? Your journey doing up your house. Guess you're famous now!
    Hi from Australia

  9. Interesting video Pete. Depends on what all you decide to replace. The satisfaction you get while shifting will be outstanding. 👍👍

  10. Jeepers your video's re this tractor and its problem make it look over engineered and over complicated! I am sure all this engineering is essential but you need to be a professor to sort it all out there!! I am 100% sure you will have the 756 purring when you are finished! AND it will be Henry's job to tackle it in the future! What a fantastic job there!! Many thanks

  11. Pete,ya need the updated park lock spring that goes on that pawl shaft between the roll pins. Makes park safer. Especially with baler etc,or new york hills

  12. Hi, interesting to see how you determine all the wear on the gear selector etc. Even though I haven't got a tractor. I recognize the old tractors from 48 years ago from my neighbour. International! They had them over here in the Netherlands as well you see.

  13. Just noticed a vlog why I hate ,don't like that word, Peter. Personally I love your blog posts. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 watch when I see them come out Ilike the cattle and chickens ,butcher by trade farmer by heart lol. Keep up with your vlogs

  14. Hey Pete thank you for doing these videos. You've inspired me to not be afraid to try and fix things myself as we have fun on our hobby farm. I bought a simple deere bar rake to use that needs restored and you've really given me a great view of how to do things right, so thank you for that.

  15. Please let us know where you find the replacement parts. I have the same tractor with the same problem. I could use the parts numbers too. Please and thank you.

  16. Pete, you are an amazing mechanic. You can tell you are used to IH. I have learned in my lifetime that every manufacturer has a way of building their equipment. Either car companys or farm tractors. You are very enjoyable in all of your videos.
