It’s time to divide the Dexter cattle herd for breeding & bring in the bulls! We have to divide the herd into three groups: one for each bull and one cull group that will not be bred. Our small farm doesn’t have chutes or sorting pens, so we divide our herd the old-fashioned way: by bringing them to a gate and sorting them through the gate. Then the bulls get right to work!
