Do farm certifications matter? There’s a lot of them out there: organic, GMO-free, animal welfare approved, no artificial nitrates, the list goes on and on. I discuss each, the choices we made whether to follow them, and the logic behind those choices. In the end, part of having a successful farm means creating trusted relationships with your customers and informing them of exactly how their food is grown. This is more important than any label or third party certification of your farm’s products.
