In this video I have a look at a Ford F-150 that came in with customer complaint of a check engine light. Reading the codes revealed several “lean codes.” A few quick tests leads us right to the MAF sensor. Can we clean it with CRC MAF Cleaner and PROVE it worked? Let’s find out. -Enjoy!

  1. NEED MUCH MUCH condensed video. cut to the chase, edit out the extra talking, had to turn off video dont have that much time and didnt find the lesson

  2. I have one of those jags but the model before (X308) and there is a positive jump post under the hood near the right shock tower. Maybe they deleted it for that year to save $2.

  3. The way the roads look if ur tired of repairing – you can start fixing roads😂😂😂😂😂😂.
    Good video. Thanks.
It looked to me like the dash was loose. Is it.

  4. I have Hyundai ionic hybrid blue 2022 my drivers side AC Flow is coming warm air at AC switch on But passenger side flow working properly can please guide me
    Thank you

  5. WARNING: If you have a Karman Vortex Maf cleaning it will destroy it, there is no hot wire to be cleaned. It utilizes mirrors and a laser to "listen" to air volume. DO NOT CLEAN IT. Most videos on youtube do not mention this.

  6. I call the person that does the weather a psychic, because his job is to predict the future! Retired mechanic here, just leave prices out of your videos and how you charge, no matter what you charge is up to you as long as it’s FAIR!!! Here’s my opinion, AND what I did. Example, brakes, and round figures, if book price was four hours, and hopefully I’m smart, and teach myself to do it quicker in two hours, I’d charge the customer three. Again my opinion!!! I look at the customer has to pay me for what he does not know, but just because a book says it CAN be done in four hours, doesn’t mean I have to or should. So I figure I made MY TIME plus a bonus, it’s cheaper then book, cheaper than quoted for customer, he’s very happy, I just got repeat customer. For third time, my opinion here, I use to work near another garage and had friends there, they always charged full book price, problem I have with full book price is so a job book time is say five hours but you/we know how to do in one hour, is that fair to customer to charge FULL BOOK PRICE of five hours and your now working on another job???? So now getting paid twice for doing one job. This subject WILL ALWAYS BE A TOPIC, but I retired with a lot of money, fair and lower prices than others, and never a lull in work schedules! Now, GREAT VIDEOS, LOVE your knowledge, and to me your prices are FAIR!!!!!

  7. He also said I need alignment. Well I drove to Les swabs and they rotated my tires and checked alignment saying everything is OK and it was free. With a receipt. The dealership put on receipt that the alignment was bad so I couldn’t feel safe. Thinking my truck alignment was bad. I have all the paperwork on both shops. I never thought a Chevy dealership would cheat customers. The mechanic was paid 25$ but the dealer was paid 400$ for 7 quarts of transmission fluid and filter. I don’t know if they really replace the filter but they did change the fluid because Chevy 8 speed transmission has flutter on every truck and recommended 45,000 miles per fluid replacement on my owner manual. Luckily I read the manual correctly. He tried several different ways to make me purchase things that have nothing to do with shutter

  8. Chevy dealership in Chico California disconnected my vacuum hose right after changing my transmission fluid and 20 minutes later the check engine light came on. Auto zone said mass air flow was bad or dirty or vacuum leak. I investigated myself and found that they unhooked the lock device and pushed it just to make it fall off soon after. True story. He charged me 400$ 20 quarts of fluid but truck only holds 7 quarts. I will never come back to complain. Because he will make me feel like I’m being a jerk.

  9. The customer expects to pay. Time you spend on repair, no matter how miniscule, makes the customer happy if the problem goes away. BTW: That air filter couldn't be any more black could it?
