It’s time to put more shiny, painted parts on the Super C! Today I’m focusing on the cooling system (fan, radiator, water pump, etc) and the linkages, pedals, and adjustments for the brakes and clutch.

Hey you can't be to bad I see that G-Shock your weating
Maybe alternator will look great with a black paint job this lady need a black dress besides the tires
Hi Pete! Have you ever replaced the thermostat on your H? If so, where did you get it? Thanks!
I just picked up a Super C this afternoon and it doesn’t have an alternator on it. What is alternator should I get for it?
Thanks
I think 1 thing this nation learned after WWII is bearings & bushing can b a weak point n a nation (& that fan moves a lot) could b wrong.
I got to say I am thankful for your series of videos on the super c I am currently in the process of rebuilding my 140 which has the same motor c123 and your attention to detail an explanation of steps is a lifesaver and money saver lol.
itt may sound stupid,,,,,>>>> but its kinda cool as to how the water pump works,,,,,,
Do you ever sleep?
The pulley on my super c is set up with grease. Thought It was a oil bath but nope take grease some old timer musta figured it out or maybe from factory?
hi Pete, how do you know so much about Tractors, if your profession is totally removed as an Architect?
This video had it ALL! Cool parts explanations, satisfying painting and final fit and finish of major assemblies. So cool to watch! I'm by no means a tractor guy, I'm an aircraft mechanic as a matter of fact, but this kind of old mechanical stuff is great!
Looking great Pete! You do fantastic work sir!
Just fantastic !!
Hey Pete. Still watching. love this one with all the shining newly painted parts going back together! Its keeping me inspired. was nice to see the rebuild on the fan assembly. I was pondering how that set up worked. every one I've seen was leaking oil around that shaft. And that's what I don't want on my newly painted engine. Looks like your your rebuild should work well. So my tactic ……before I started watching your Chanel …was to just by one of those after market fan assemblies with grease sealed roller bearings. And I did. Made in china and looks like it. I plan to unbolt original fan blades and install onto new shaft and pulleys. However after watching your rebuild I might give it a go. I still just can't wrap my mind around how oil does not come out around that shaft without some kinda seal. and yes…that thing seems over engineered. Im getting close to bolting the torque tube back onto the trans case on my super a. Oh and I get it about painting the bolts for all the parts I've taken off to paint before reinstall. Ive actually cleaned ,primed and painted a lot of them separately. Anyway Thanks for taking the time to document all your detailed restoration techniques. Looking forward to seeing that jewel crank up. 👍
I believe the spiral cut in the fan hub is called a labarinth seal.
Thx for sharing!
Well you did a good job but you always do looks very nice so far and I’m sure the rest of all look very nice to so I have a happy Thanksgiving and God bless
I want to thank you Pete for the education on the farmall engines,
I have a 1952 Yale forklift with a farmall engine in it and I'm so glad I found your channel and lernd about how to properly maintain it . I never new about greasing the distributor shaft and how to oil the bushings or bearings in the fan I had no idea about those screws that I had to remove to do the proper maintenance .
I just bought a super c for 350.00 hasn’t been in use for a couple years all your videos have inspired me to redo it thanks Pete. Rick from hippiehills Missouri
This series is so good and I can barely change a battery in my car.
Wow that mechanical assembly is really a head scratcher on the water pump. What the heck!!! But after all this time….. no plain bearings to wear out…. No ball bearings to run dry…. Just dont forget the dang oil!
at 90 I forgot a lot.. thank doe a great video. granny
OUTSTANDING PETE LOVE IT AND THANK YOU
Surely this tractor came out with a generator?
Last Tango in Lansing. Nice touch!
Hi Pete,Dale here. I want to wish you and your nice family a wonderful thanksgiving. Thank you for your hard work.
The engineering in that water pump is unbelievable. Can you imagine that today?
If it was done in one vedio we would not have has many vedios to watch love your vedios there are better than the things they have on television these days 😀

It makes one wonder how efficient were the assembly lines putting these together given the difficulty of some of those bolts? Such as the radiator and water pump. Maybe this was before time studies?
Pete, you are amazing. Skill, patience, determination and dedication!
I’ve got a handful of tractors from the 40’s and 50’s. They run and are useful but they are not pretty. Well I guess I think they are, but nobody else would think so.
Mine are what they are and yours are what the are because you have incredible amounts of skill, patience, dedication and determination!
Coming along nicely!
Keep Smilin!!!!
great mechanical videos Pete.
Well done Pete so proud of your work love your videos they make me smile 😊
Did you get hit with much snow? I was hoping for a snowy farm video.
Great video Pete. Enjoyed the whole bit. Take care
Pete, just curious if you are going to sell the wide front end you took off?
Tks for sharing all your hard work. I'm interested on hearing it run.. Hope you and Miss Hillary and family have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving..
Thanks for taking the extra time to share. People will enjoy these videos for many years to come.
Pete that oil pump is basically a scavenge pump/Lambreth seal combination?
I love your videos I have been watching for a year now and I am always waiting for the next video
You make it look so easy. I have an international 504 I've been working on for months…
