l purchased this barn find Beaver amphibious vehicle about 2 months ago and it needed a complete redo, in the video we get all the electrical parts working, then load it up on my old vw truck for the next video when it gets to see the water.

Marine carburetors have spark arrestors on them as well
Way late now (and certainly Sunday morning quarterbacking) but I'd have left the captain's side grate alone and mounted the engine compartment exhaust fan under the passenger's side bench.
I had a friend in michigan with one of those but it was a 6 week drive.
Mustie, we really needed a spotlight down into that underseat vent.
great video to see thanks take care
What the hell? I watched all these videos, and never got to see it go through the water.
How about a light in bilge
It's a boat. You forgot Nav lights.
That space for the fan looks like a range hood / microwave fan would fit perfectly
Is the beaver still alive
I'd like to see you test your bilge pump with a quart of water in the bottom, just to make sure it would pump the water out that high.
It was good to see that amphibious vehicle sitting in the back of Crusty.
Hope you have a water test and wear life jacket in case a big hole appears—LOL.
make sure your leg dont stop the air flow
Nice
Put a hose on the bilge fan and run it to the back.
They get you stuck in water better take a couple of paddles if you go in water
could of used 3 square computer fans for the blower . great videos by the way nice project original gelcoat too
What was the Canadian military thinking giving them bright red vehicles? Targets?
Nice beaver.
Looks to me that there are a lot of holes in the bottom which are not to good for boats of any sort , i know its got bilg pump but fare go, i think you would be asking a lot.
So now it comes down to fibre glassing all the holes, but first you have got to find them, even the very small ones.
I have never seen one of these before and wonder if they still make them because i bet they would catch on in todays world, and if you added a
Jet pump it would help it go well in water.
For steering put gear on top of front wheel post and on bottom of steering yoke. Stabilize through hood and run chain or belt to front wheel?
Why not put fan attached to underside of cover. Still gets air out and farther away from driver for sound. Maybe 2 fans?
Why not bilge out back on other side like exhaust?
I couldn't feel any air coming out
A suggestion, since this boat has already sank once, perhaps it might be an idea to fill as many crevices as possible with low expansion urethane foam for bouyancy, that way, even if it swamps, it wont sink.
I would have used a couple computer fans for the bilge airflow. That bulky fan is the pits.
