  1. I'm just surprised the USB-C plug actually stayed in the bottom of the phone. They seem to wear out so easily on the Pixels. Hopefully, they can do Android Desktop wireless while my phone sits on my angled wireless phone charger on my desk.

  2. Samsung has had DeX ,, a desktop like screen environment,, plug a Samsung phone into a monitor or TV with Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse
Motorola has a similar environment called " Ready for "
    .
Samsung and Motorola have been doing this for some while so it must be possible Google as usual a trailing behind the competition

  3. hope all android can do it external display, make next only with smartphone can use all, just external display make it PC desktop, this can because now SoC in smartphone is powerfull

  4. i have been waiting for these changes like forever😢😢. i even sent an email to Samsung via their Members app to get rid of the black bars displayed on the monitor when i connect my samsung tab s8 to my monitor via a USB-C to HDMI connection. I also asked that they add a rounded pointer (like on the iPad) when an external mouse/trackpad is connected. Samsung makes me cry literally..😢😢😢😢

  5. Why they're reinventing the wheel when DeX already does pretty much all of these things and has for years, is baffling. The biggest thing missing from Android that iPad OS does is the ability to explicity drag an app window from the host device display to the external display (not toggle a "switch").

  6. I can see myself getting a Nexdock or something similar if Google can at least bring AOSP external display functionality to the level of a DeX not even Windows.

Otherwise $299 for the Nexdock is a harder proposition to swallow but thanks for the video. It's good that progress is being made in this area, I just wish it would happen quicker. I feel like the last few years with each new version of Android, these snippets of progress are being found and highlighted but in totality the final product is nowhere near there yet.
