  1. Ooooooh Mustie1, I'm working on a chest cold I think… I mean to tell you I think I almost just coughed up a lung.!.!.! LOL… I never seen an old man move so fast. I thought that thing was fly apart. And then you stuck your hand in there and I thought it's he lost his freaking mind?? Then I thought, no but I think he might be ready to lose a finger or two 🙂 great job man now I get to go finish watching the rest of the video. Thanks for the laugh and the sore ribs.

  2. Mustie1, Looks like that tire is winging along pretty well, I thought U got bit by the belt there for a moment. Bike is coming along, I think there maybe one of those 2 stroke snow blowers in the hoard somewhere.

  3. You might want to put a couple diagonal braces on the rear wheel tubes to dampen some of that harmonic vibration or you might have some fatigue cracks show up.

  4. It's looking good! It's been very interesting watching the progress as you work this out.  You've got more snow than we have here in N. Dakota but probably not as cold.

  5. Very cool Mustie1.  I have played with a motorcycle or two and actually used to have the Whizzer dealership for our area.  I love the pedal/motorcycle hybrids.  Quick question on your idler pulley.  I love the fab work you did on yours but why not just use a small sprocket idler?  Seems like it would have less drag that way and wouldn't cause as much wear to the chain.  Very cool.  Look forward to seeing this one done.

  6. Know what would be cool is to compress your own natural gas and use that instead of map gas to fire a forge.

I'd like to install geothermal heat in a property and pipe it under the driveway so the snow melts on it's own. That can also be used to cool in the summer. Like to do a walk in cooler/freezer for food storage.

I don't like chrome. All that fuss for what? Wonder if that stainless magnetic? The nickel stuff isn't magnetic and the low or no nickel, chromium stuff is. Either way, careful with the fumes.

    That's a skid shoe mount I guess?

    Be real, be sober.

  7. Builds looking typical mustie1 quality, great side profile just a shame about the broken profile line and look with the pedal setup installed ,still a great build with excellence.

very glad the chain did not bite when it came unattached..for a moment was a tad worried..

was their any vibration from the rear wheel running across the rpm range.

  8. Ooow like a rocket :-))

Your peddle chain looked really tight, check the ratchet sprocket on the back, you really dont want it locking up and the peddles spinning crazy 🙁

A bit more mustie love and it will be scare the hell out of you lol.

  9. I think the pulley and rear wheel ratio is about the right speed.
I woke up at 3 AM. to about 14 inches from this storm, here in the mid-coast Maine area. I had to plow so my girlfriend could go to work. We have about 27 inches from this and the last storm and it is still snowing at 4 AM. LOL.

  10. Not bad for a first run , still got all your fingers ? I only think you should balance the rearwheel , lots of force movin it up and down , but i'm sure thats gonna be in a next vid , greetz from the christmastree.

  11. Looks like that idler pulley will work well. You sure got a lot more snow than we did…only about 4 or 5 inches here in the St Louis area.

  12. Ha, you don't sit straight up in bed in the middle of the night and shout "Eureka, that's it, that's the answer!" do you?

It's interesting see you work your ideas into a reality. Roy Orbison used to say that he would get an idea for a song at night and have to get up and write it down in case he forgot it before he woke up.
