Hola ..buenas noches soy cubano.
have a MX5 motor .usted superbike knows if in united state it exists pieces of thoses motors, is wanted an ignition..please answer me
I had one that I bought new and put it on a kHs tandem that my wife and I use to ride out to a country bar and after a night of drinking we would ride through the drive through at Burger King for some munchies . Believe it or not on flat road it would hold us at 22 mph . I took it off and put it on a cruiser to make beer runs on could hold a case and a half of beer with rear side baskets and front basket and nachos from 7-11 . Fond memories
Quit tripping on the color of it you can paint it lol
I don’t mind the long videos I seem to be watching him to the end which is pretty interesting I like what you’re doing I have all the same skills that you do I just don’t do it anymore I’m a body man Mechanic fabricator tinkerer I just don’t have a place to do it anymore
I know it’s too late for my comment why did you just grind down the top of the Top of the pedal bar some
Long or short is ok.
But I do wish you'd number index them so when they come up in my YT feed suggestions I'd know the order of the recommended vid.
I don't care how long your videos are as long as I can see every aspect of what you are doing. Keep up the good work…I enjoy every minute. You truly have a gift. Thank you!
Longer every other day would be nice.
I think what everybody may be saying is ,,,,,,, you stay as long as you D——— well please and we will stay with you! I done found me a new source of crack, Mustie Crack!!!
Another great video! You're the Bob Ross of engine videos 🙂
Anything can be done but wouldn't really be a little bit better just to identify the engine
For the bike gas tank just about any kind of bottle that fits in between those two pieces of metal a coke bottle
Baby baby powder give you cancer lol
your not supposed to put oven cleaner on aluminum it will give it a weird finish
Tank from a old Whizzer would be perfect.
Do you need gloves to use shoe polish?..what a pansy!
Longer videos, every day, and would you marry my sister?
Hey Mustie. I'm looking for parts for the MX5 bicycle motor. I had one for a long time, I know everything about that motor, now owned by my cousin but he needs some parts, do you know where can I buy parts for it?
Know I know this is old and I'm sure you figure it out but my advice would be,Try using a bicycle peg on that engine to run the back tire!
If you had bought a wide crank set you probably could have reused work crank arms!
you should keep a tube of 3m window weld in the shop for making those bushings that you can't buy, small bushings like the one on the engine mount should cure within 24 hours if you let them cure in the house where it's warm. cheap way to make light to medium duty poly bushings…..
i use black graphite paste darken metal down
Longer videos every few days.
On this project it might help if you put a rubber sleeve on the drive cog that touches the tyre for better contact on the back wheel. Just a thought. Prob less chance of wear on the tyre, like the original wheel tyre, where it was obviously slipping and grinding the rubber.
Modify one of those green oxygen bottles to hold gas and fit it inside of the Black Knight tank , unless you have something else to work for gas tank.
You need a can a large ham came in.
Hola tengo un motor de esos.
longer videos every few days are better
I know you said your cheap , but new rubber on manly rusty rims??
mix it up
I had a friction drive like that, and the thing you will soon find out is the friction drive will always eat the tire off in no time. If I were able at the time, I think I would have tried to replace the friction wheel with a sprocket and added another sprocket on the other side of the rear wheel. because you do have centrifugal clutch on the motor. and with one chain for peddling, and one chain on the other side there would be no ware except to the clutch.
I like your videos, Mustie1. It's like Orange County Choppers without the angst.
I'd prefer shorter vids more often. Matter of fact I really enjoy your channel but have not subscribed yet because I feel I may not have the time to dedicate to watch so I just let YT "suggest" them to me. And I watch a lot of your old vids when I have insomnia.
Like I have said before you remind me a lot of Paul Brandt who was very well liked engine talk show here in the twin cities, mn. His show lasted something like 14 years and was on every saturday afternoon. It was nice to work on my own projects in the shop and have him on the AM radio talking to folks about their engine issues.
I love these bike building vids in particular and its obvious you have a passion for them. I'm tremendously into bikes and own quite a few. Matter of fact I stopped using a car almost 20 years ago now and everything I do is by bike. It's pretty easy in some ways because I am in a densely populated part of two big cities so travel by bike is often faster than by car. Far better than waiting on a once-an-hour bus. Once an a blue moon I miss the car but having parking issues & having to move it every time they plow and not having an offstreet parking spot makes it too difficult. Right now my big issue is I've got to get my first set of Schwalbe studded ice tires put on my hauling bike. This will be the first year I've used studded tires. 536 total between both wheels. Should keep the biking far less 'interesting' & more safe.
Ironically as much as I love engines I have been slowly moving away from them. I even bought an electric snowblower this year. I've had an electric mower for over a decade now. Mostly because of shoulder & neck issues.
longer video!
Video length doesn't matter to me…..but just to remind you….speed limit is 20 mph, but that tire looked like 50 mph to me!
Longer video,s every third day……
longer videos
Just keep the video's coming. Love your channel. Sense of humor's not bad either.
put a larger pc of conduit in it as a bushing
It is a bit worrying that you have shoe polish in your garage lol
i like longer videos
If you could make a drive cylinder with an internal profile that matches the tire's outer profile. This would give better power delivery, three plus times the wear life and possibly smoother operation.
