Grass Gobblers & Cowboy Cuts

What a combination! Today we’re putting the grass gobblers (turkeys) on pasture and smoking some fine “cowboy cut” pork bellies. It’s another great day on the farm!

  1. Could you have put the younger turkeys in the chicken tractor that you have for the Cornish cross and them moved them out to the bigger pasture or is it better if they stay in the brooder?

  2. I love this show! Happiest part of my day. I no longer watch the news EVER. I still like green acres and Gomer Pyle and Griffith but can't do all. Peter gets all the watching! And dog herd must be fed and then wife and kids.

  3. For the Turkeys and sizes, I'd just buy as is. The store bought turkey are artificially sized by adjusting the weight by water. So if people are thinking they are buying a specific size, their fooling themselves. Small, medium and large should be the options. End up with a medium but need a large? By a small with it. But people are odd when it comes to trying to replicate a table showcase scene. It all tastes the same in the end 😀
