Kost tire in Milford pa is 145 an hour. Yes 145 an hour. And they suck
Barrel connector, not butt connector 😊
I have a remand 4.6 in my 97 f150. it has those overheat buttons on it. I ordered mine from powertrain products and it was shipped to my house. I install it back in the spring. I had to buy a new 6 bolt flexplat because my 8 bolt was obsolete. I also had to replace my upper and lower intake because my upper intake would not work because the new motor was originally in a 1999 expedition and the ports in the head was different. I replaced the lower only because the original was plastic and an aluminum was available in the aftermarket. cleaning any reused parts thoroughly is critical to keep from voiding the warranty. it runs great. I have been watching your videos for a while and I saw on where you had to reroute wires back behind the engine. I put the motor in without the intake because I don't think I could have in gotten in with it installed. that made routing and attaching the wires and harnesses easy. I took my time and enjoyed every minute of it. I also enjoy watching you because if i dont know something, you probably have a video on it. I also admire your honesty.
How many people would take that stuff apart and find all those issues? NONE. The owner should bring a bucket of money to you and tell you to take what you need and then pay for the broken cable on the other lift. Then he can deal with the "inschtaller" of the motor. That would be Slap Happy Sloppy Schultz Auto Repair. Mr Schultz will be the bald guy with the short cigar.
Can we just put a 2bbl carter on it? 😊
Worst Russian accents are in strip clubs…
This guy sounds like a clown. He is distracted with jokes and childish behavior. He probably makes many mistakes.
Overall just wow
40:24 did you see the throttle body lift when he removed this intake bolt? Id say theres a wire stuck under it
36:09 amen lay down the smack down.😊😊😊
why do i feel like im watching america get lazier and or dumber by way of "mechanics" . mustve been his first engine ever. sucks tho when someone else points out your ef ups but thats how we learn.
Honestly it's not that big of a deal how the wires are routed and snapped in place as long as nothing is being harmed I've been doing it for years and never had a complaint, you're just picky
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂BRILLIANT
Dealerships by their title will rip you off! They should be call stealerships! They tried to get me but they didn't know I was reared in a family of machinist! They tried to pull a fast one on me but I set them straight in a nice way, which I regret now!
At least they didn't skimp on the fram oil filter.
That paper looks like a standard thing they hand out for selling engines. It does not mean they did any of that and if they did i would want alot more information than that.
the shifter cable needs to be routed higher up against the the head ive had a oem melt after 240k touching the exhaust like that, put a Dorman on and routed like the oem, and it melted n less than a month i found once i added extra heat shielding to the new new cable that it can route up higher against the head. been working good for over 6 months now.
26:00 On top of not using the right kind of tape…. doesn't even look like they used decent 3M vinyl tape. That reeks of that low end crappy Utilitech tape from Lowes….
So, the installers of this remanufactured engine slapped it in and didn't bother to check for codes and just handed the vehicle off to the customer? That in itself seems to be pretty shady and not a good way to run a shop by not checking the work that was done. How do these people stay in business?
That intake system reminds me of Toyota's T-VIS system for variable intake geometry. Something they used on the 4A-GEs back in the 90s for improved low-end torque.
I'd bet a donut to a dollar that the engine was a "Jasper Reman'. I fought one that spun a bearing on startup, they replaced it with one that wiped the cam during warm up, only to send me another with a cracked block. I gave up however, I was left without my Core..so, I went to pick n pull for a block to stuff all the new parts in. I sent their core back as that..just the block with random used parts tossed in the box.
Invasive .. all are thankful you are not a doctor 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of your diagnostic challenge and I’ve got total respect and confidence in you and your skills and I look forward to seeing more episodes please.
Mechanical Engineering Level; Genius âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸
I dozed off woke up and you were still talking, just like my Ole lady haha jk this is a great video thank you
55:30 or the engine is not in time
The guy should've gotten the 4.6 liter V8 engine variant; the 4.2 V6 and 5.4 V8 are the most problematic.
this is a great example of why I work on my own stuff. Too many mechanics that lack passion and integrity. Shameful.
I'd never use crimp connectors on a vehicle, that's just lazy. Solder and heat shrink them if you need to repair. Someone butchered that harness. Up here in the north those crimp connectors corrode in no time.
I added some useful tools a few months back. Connector pliers for depressing the connector lever then just pull it off, also came with a tool for the connecters you have to lift a tab to unlock. Very useful for those connectors where hands don't fit well.
