And if you don't maintain your own business, you'll be out of business. And for those who have never ran a business, i say, ignore the ignorance, RAY.You're doing a wonderful job, my friend balancing it all. Keep up the good work. We are "TEAM RAY" over here. 😊
YOU'RE KILLING ME RAY WITH THAT BALL PEEN HAMMER. 😮
A high output laser would also strip off the paint.
Is it more man than you are?
That's called being accidentally correct.
The other side looks like it will fall down.
Dynamite!!!
Those are love taps my man.
Not looking forward to replacing the belt on my 3126 sitting in my RV. But I refuse to pay someone else to do it.
I put a fuel pump on my 3126 yesterday, that was fun.
Love your work and the way you share knowledge Ray
add a little soap
I couldn't be a mechanic!!
You may want to think about cleaning up some of your work areas. TOP OF TOOLBOX

when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life, its just what you do. ive been doing concrete for 30 yrs and i feel i havent worked in 25 yrs. im 50 and ill be doing this till i cant. theres little tricks and tips to make work easier so its no so hard on the body or mind. even after 30 yrs in concrete, this old guy is still learning things other guys have tried and has worked for them.
As a Cat technician, this was one of your funnier videos I have watched.
You've got to turn the belt inside out to remove the belt. It's larger on the out side. Think about it .
How do you own your own business and the building?
Ray,
One thing I learned a long time ago…yes, you are trying to be agreeable with the audience, but…your priority is your business. Too many chiefs…too few indians.
Hi Ray u are very honest technician u take u job very seriously and look after u customers. Should more out there like you.
Keep up the Great work

"FUN WITH FITTINGS" featuring RAY
What a POS 😂
Why don’t you use soap on pulley to make belt easier to slip on
“How do you have the time to work on your own stuff?!â€
Meanwhile: “I don’t have enough time to start my own business because I need to shit post on YouTube videos.â€
X files are near, wife unit close behind 😊
Old GM adage, don't fix it unless it's broke. As you said better now than on the road. Keep rocking Ray
Could've damaged it with that hammer.
Dude that aint cold.
Made me nervous watching.
I think you should have rolled that belt and put the flat side toward the pulley to help it slide cause it was getting caught on the teeth and couldn't move.
Since you are u sing manual tension, I wudda tried next suze bigger belt, if there is enough adjustment in tensioner fir tight belt, then pretighten tensioner , giving you ability to bump belt on n off with belt tool. My Chevy Ave 5 1.6 Lt uses this method fir AC belt…no belt adjustment…bump off n on…
Worth a try fir next belt fix….guessing that's why belt has possible premature wear from unnecessary prying over crank pulley….know what I mean VERN….gravity proves earth sucks….watch out fir that tree/socket
If it ain't broke dont fixit….famous last words
the clamp is restricting you
vaseline the pully dead blow hammer tap it around its all good
I had a lot of experience, building and designing RVs. While driving my own, I was approching Redding, Ca. when my RV, a Ford, started overheating and I lost my alternator by Shasta Lake. When I looked to see what went wrong, my damper pulley bolt had unscrewed and my V belt was twisted all to hell, nearly shredded. fortunately I managed to convince the belt back on and the best luck of all, was that my damper pulley bolt was lying loose inside the pulley. All I had to do, was screw it back in. God was watching out that day, and the belt stayed on, barely making it to the Redding exit when the belt came off again and I was able to coast to just shy of a parts house without any walking to speak of.
Ur still an awesome tech.
Awesome job bro. I would've removed the balancer by removing the center bolts. It actually just slides off after the bolts r removed.
Glad to see I'm not the only one that does sketchy shit.
for those that don't understand – self employment is a 100% full time job – your entire life is dedicated to making the business profitable – that requires all your time – few or no days off. i feel for you ray – but you're young and tough and you're making it work despite all the obstacles – you go – kick butt and take names.
Hot water to expand the belt.
I love this channel! But at 37:20 – Watch how much brake cleaner he uses!!! – and he jokes about it – I really wish he knew of the danger of brake cleaner fumes and took that seriously, because joking about it not only disregards his own safety, but also the health of those who may be influenced by his treatment of the risk, as he is a role model, sort of, for us. (Or alternately, I sincerely hope I'm wrong, as are all the doctors and lawyers who say it's cancerous, and brake cleaner fumes aren't as big a risk to anyone's health, even to a mechanic that has a higher exposure to them, that I have read that they are). FYI: I'm paranoid about chemicals because I'm disabled, w/ fibromyalgia – now thought to be a central nervous system disorder – so "the last thing I need" is to do more damage to my central nervous system! I use brake cleaner when I must – but I use it only outside, only as absolutely necessary, and usually a small amount on a paper towel, while wearing gloves. I have never used an entire can on a job – and don't use it like a mobile parts cleaner – brake cleaner is hazardous stuff that isn't just parts cleaner solution in a can. Instead, I often use paper towels, and SAFE, environmentally and health friendly cleaners that remove grease, depending on the job.
Ha ha ha. A tow truck for the tow truck! I went on a ride-along once w/ my friend and roomie (at the time) Jeff P., who drove a tow truck. And we went to pull a truck out of the mud. But we got the tow truck stuck in the mud, and had to do just that – call another tow truck! In fact, we just left his truck connected to the customer's truck, and got them pulled out together. I don't think the tow truck owner thought it was funny. And, my friend didn't work for that employer long. But I don't know if those 2 things are related. Hmmm?
Sometimes the hose is just simpler
When you want your new belt to have that worn feel….
