3. There are so many things that this review failed to even acknowledge, never mind answer. You were also so damn lazy that you didn't want to setup the device. Take us through the settings, and what the phone actually offers. What are the differences in the permissions system (that's apparently a marketing point for them)? What about their other security features, if any? Are there any stock settings removed? Is any of the AI and translation done on device? How good is the call/mic quality, and general reception? How good/bad are the speakers? How's the inner screen crease? Does it support HDR, and if so, at what level? How is the hinge holding up? What data speed does that USB port use? The phone is super thin, how hot does it get? This is just a small handful of questions I have, and barely any review covers them. Seriously terrible coverage.

6. Funny thing is my dad just brought the magic v3 not a single bloatware app installed. No ali express it didn't even have the usual shenanigans.

7. I don`t think I ever wrote a youtube comment. But after I heared you complaing about going into settings to enable the app drawer is a HARD THING TO DO, i decided to write one. How in the earth you can work for Android Authority and complaining about such thing? You must be NOT A SMART PERSON to put it the nice way.

9. I have this phone and seen so many reviews mentioning various issues (including bloat). I got mine in the UK from EE and a lot of the reviews don't mention if they are reviewing the global version or not but my experience with this phone is different to a lot of what I have seen. I guess there must have been an update just prior to me receiving the phone. Couple of little tweaks to set it up how I wanted but no more than I had with the Samsung ultra 24. You can just turn the app drawer on or off, your choice. As for bloat maybe 2 apps which were so much of an issue I cant even remember what they were. Again no more than when you get a Samsung flagship and have to remove 1 or 2 apps you don't use. Cant believe this is mentioned its such a non issue. Its like complaining that you have to press the power button to turn the phone on. In reality I have had a couple of niggles with apps being put to sleep to save battery but I just told the phone to stop doing that in the settings, easy. I actually like the aggressive app management to prolong the battery. Nice phone. Had it a month now and transitioned from years of samsung UI. Overall its not massively different. Camera very capable.

10. OOB setup is what EVERYONE should go through to make their phone theirs. It actually made me feel like IT belonged to me, and not me belonging to the it and the company ie. Apple owning iOS users…

11. I have spent a week with my V3 – after moving from a samsung foldable 4 – the OS turns out for me to be BETTER – you just need to go through a couple of days working out how it works. Once done that (i understand today people want immediate) it was so great. It just ISNT crap – it is just different, Easy to criticise the software BUT it is worth the effort – I had problems with pics for example – but all the settings were on the lowest quality – i just hadnt bothered to work out to adjust.

    Once you have worked out how to use it – the best by miles. What a phone!

12. I have used folding phones for over three years. I will never go back. Tomorrow I will receive the Honor Magic 3. You always have to set up phones because we all have different priorities and preferences. You have to be pretty lazy or dim to think that is a problem.

19. have you compared the two ROMS, my global version does not have Global taskbar that hides, and I cant drag apps to split screen, can you verify this or is there a setting I'm missing?

22. I have the V2 and unless Oppo nails it with their next fold, The V4 will be my next phone.

23. Should I buy this one or wait for the one plus open 2? My One plus open 1 has many dead pixels out of nowhere and I don't want this to happen again 😢
