Foldables have had serious competition this year, but the HONOR Magic V5 still manages to stand out. With the biggest battery of any foldable, paired with what might just be the best camera system on a foldable yet, the V5 is one to get excited about. Of course, all that innovation doesn’t come cheap; the Magic V5 starts at £1,699 (~$2,300). The real question is: can HONOR tempt you to make the jump?

  1. I've been a long time samsung user. I wanted to try and folding phone but I just couldn't justify the price of the Z7 so I've purchased a white magic v5 it's a brilliant device I'm loving it. In my opinion samsung is copying apple trying to lock you into their eco system then overcharging for their phones. I doubt I'll go back to samsung!

  2. I wish I could try some of these Chinese folding phones but being in America really limit your options unless you want to import and deal with carrier inconsistencies. For the time being I'll be sticking with my fold seven. And I'm definitely not disappointed.

  3. Thanks, Yes we have the King
    Honor v5 👌🏻
    Vivo X 5 👍🏻
    z Fold 7 😂 🔋 👎🏻
the world prefers Samsung cos we only get this 📱 around the World,
If the Honor was Launched world wide & if we had availability, Results would be clear

  4. fold 7 has the same main camera and as good as s25 ultra's, and honor's main camera is the best for folding phones…. so v5 is right up there with the best, be interesting to see a camera comparison video vs the iphone s25ultra vivo x200 xiaomi

  5. Had the Honor Magic V3 for over a year and have now had the Magic V5 for the last several weeks and there's no solid comparison. It checks every box! Larger Battery than Samsung, Stylus support (Samsung removed the digitizer), better speakers, better cameras, faster charging (both wired and wireless), charger in the box, case in the box and cost 100s less. This is a no brainer! Definitely the best foldable out there. If Samsung chose to put chargers and cases back in the box, upgraded their cameras, changed their prehistoric charging technology to sodium-ion, then they would probably have the best on the market, but until pigs fly, Honor has Samsung beat!

  6. I will repeat myself. How can we compare companies operating in a free market in a free world with a Chinese company, in a communist oppressive regime? How is the situation with human rights in China? China communist party says "give me the data" and Honor will do so. No matter how great this phone may be, I will rather buy something else.

  7. I don't tend to take that many pictures so I do want a good camera but it's not the most important thing to me what is important is the software that I have to work with every time I use the phone and I don't think anyone needs the combination of Samsung One UI + Good Lock and Routines for programming your phone
