  1. I usually hate when people talk a lot, when there trying to explain something, but not here it’s like listening to a great story, while learning about mowers.😂

  2. I think the coil is bad in mine. Sadly I don't have an extra mower around to test it. But for 13 bucks off Amazon, it will be here tomorrow. Thanks for the video! I'm sure I can tackle it myself.

  3. 4. @11:12 I have on more than one occasion had a no spark on a lawn mower and have cleaned the rust off the coil and flywheel making it spark after being cleaned. More often than not it was due to rust on the coil and flywheel. I repair a lot of small engines.

  5. At this point, it could also be a bad plug. Need a spark tester or another plug to verify. 😮 Or stick your little finger in the plug cap and hold onto the motor! 😅 10:30

  6. I tilt the deck when I let the grass get too long. The tilt helps it not bog down when used as a mulcher. Then I have to remember to level it out for the rest of the season. Yes, you end up with wavy grass after that first cut.

  7. You’re an inspiration to the rest of us wannabe DIYER’S. I have an older Craftsman which is a rear wheel drive 21” mower and the best mower I’ve ever owned. I’m planning on retrieving it from our cottage where it was used it for a couple of years. I’ll have to drain and clean the tank and clean the carburetor back home. I’m hoping to use it in place of the newer push mower. Thank you for your great videos and cheerful dialogue which gives me a lot of encouragement! I tipped the mower and found the blade was bent so bought a new one and will install it. Hope it starts after hitting that 2” stump and runs okay.

  8. Thanks for all the repair videos! Was able to take a free non-working mower, was able to dignose and determine it was the carb, clean it minimal tools to get it running again.
