I AM A REDNECK?

I am practicing a time-honored redneck tradition today…It involves a bunch of cattle, some pigs, snow, cold, a fuel tank, and a jacked-up tractor. Can you guess what it is?

  1. Kindness and humor, as always. I'm now hoping to figure out the spelling and etymology of the word "joojing," as in "joojing the hay." What can I say? I taught our department's History of the English Language course for about 15 years. Thank for a witty and thoughtful video!~~Jeff in CT

  2. HI Pete. I'm glad I had eaten before watching those beautiful pork chops dissappear towards the house. I am in full agreement about civility! The lack of civility and general trolling nature is one of the reasons I am weary of having a YouTube channel myself. But, full credit to you. I enjoy your channel very much and consider you a good friend. I have learned so much about farming for which I thank you very much!

  3. Hey Pete sorry but I can’t afford to come to New York to a meet and great but I half to tell you ishore love to watch your channel watch you every day and I joy doing so you have a very beauitful farm

  4. My little cousin lost his temper at vacation bible school several years ago and hit another child. His teacher told my Aunt and when they got home she asked my cousin what he learned from that episode. He said ‘be ye kind,no hit no bite no kick’. Maybe we should remember that in our social interaction! I’m a 72 year old disabled hospital tech. I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs and agree with a lot of your views! Keep up the kindness.

  5. I tend to pick my friends by the way they treat other people, and Pete even though we have never met I consider you a friend ! Social media brings out all kinds and some of them just don’t know the meaning of respect, it’s a price you pay for putting you life out there for the world to see. Keep up the good work, you videos are very good and relaxing to watch your life on the farm. Hopping and wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas , and remember “He” ( Christ ) is the reason for the season!

  6. Thank you Pete you are absolutely correct as a fellow “redneck” farmer I couldn’t agree more, civility has been depleted from our society slowly over the past couple of decades or generations im hoping for a return soon.. my wife says I’m a dreamer but I can still hope

  7. Hey Pete. I got a comment for you. You do your work any ole way you think works best. How’s that? And yes I love your redneck solution to cleaning the tank. Love you man!

  8. I can see you biting your tongue sometimes. You have to and it's a shame. To live in a country that one can't speak their mind . Being a third generation Marine nothing scares me much, only when someone can't speak what's on our mind. That's scary. Thinking the government is going to make your life better or fix things is being blind. I can understand why you have to stay in the middle of the road. Just your little 45 acres knows how the government can be up in your business even if they weren't asked. I hope you will be a great source of income for you and your family for many years. Neal

  9. What you said a the end of this video really resonated with me. I lived overseas for six years and this lack of civility really hit me hard there in the states. What happened in that short time??? I am back in Korea where there is little crime and everyone has a sense of courtesy. I came here from Wisconsin and many of the farm and weather scenes make me a bit homesick. I agree with you- we all just need to be kind! Hang in there, Pete!

  10. Pete was your jokes and I retelling them to my 13 year old granddaughters she shakes her head at me it tells me I better go back in the old archives and find a new joke book

  11. That old tractor is like an ancient, much loved and respected Aunt. She needs to be reminded she is still a vital part of the family with an important job to do. You get some little lawn tractors and gather them around her and she will tell tales of how things were done in the olden days on the farm and how everyone has jobs to do. From the littlest yard tractors to the biggest, oldest gramma and grampa tractors. Just you little ones ask those whipper snappers in the hay barn!

  12. Another great video! Love the way you have designed your farm business model. So you can know me better. I am a 71 year old retired man. I had a successful career in the construction equipment sales and rental business. Grew up on a farm/ranch in SW Ks. I think it is a shame you and Hillary ever receive negative comments! People should just be nice! Not so today though! Thanks again for all your videos!

  13. I love the reminder. Be kind. Pete you are absolutely correct. Our society is declining because we as a whole are forgetting to just be kind. It doesn't cost us a thing to say thank you or try to be polite. negativity is like a cancer. We need to remove it as much as we can so that we can live, love and be free. I think that's what the American dream should really be. The pursuit of happiness and to feel like we are not in a hostile environment while we are trying to find that happiness. Thanks for your videos. I'm an old veteran who's starting a farm in Blackstone, VA and I want to have to peace and happiness that I see in your videos. Thanks

  14. I love you Pete, your farm family and your dexes as well. I like that the dexters respond to you as well, especially paddy, the boss cow. 😂😂😂 I have been binge watching your vlogs lately and learning a lot. I always enjoy the jokes and riddles a lot. All the way from BW 🇧🇼. Salute.
