I thought those add a fuse where only for use in a spare space in the fuse box not in an already used slot never liked using them either if A mechanic doesn't know what he is saying he should not have been messing with it anyway
Low profile mini fuse add on needed. The one they had was the mini. Tabs are different. Lead to a new powered item must
go to unpowered side of fuse box. If unsure test for continuity from red lead to either side of connector to fuse block. At
13:53 the add on jack is connected wrong for the add on wiring connection. It is unprotected by the 10 Amp fuse.
Why doesn't he take it back to the people that installed the "electrical devices"?
Run into this myself or want to be mechanics have been let loose on my vehicle and have done more damage than good and again I spent my time in the driveway straightening out their mistakes because they didn't do it or not me or must have been somebody else it's frustrating and they say ignorance is a bliss but if somebody doesn't know what thier doing don't let them practice on my car thank you have a great day

The human finger conducts electricity too. Is it correct to use the test leads with your finger on it together with the fuse legs?

What you are doing is adding a splitter.
Sure, you are going to get a nominal 12V on both circuits but you're adding load to the cable behind the box.
You got to know what you're doing electrically speaking.

Oooooh-Kay. So you did a 25% better job than the last guy. Still, you didn’t seem to notice how burnt the fuse holder looked. You put in some random fuses. And you didn’t noodle out what happens if you put the fuse-doubler in backwards. The outgoing hot wire is hooked up directly to the incoming hot wire, no fuse in play. Very bad. Use that noodle!
What is the maximum current of a fuse you can install?
I think it's sloppiness. A lot of service folks just don't seem to give a damn !

I worked in a spare parts shop and was in charge of the electronics bit. I had a sudden rush of young drivers with Mitsubishi Lancer and Mirages that had had new radios fitted by the local sound shop and would blow out light circuits when the lights were powered on. I’m talking like 6 or 7 cars. I pulled everything down and found that they had all been wired incorrectly, one of the wires tested as a ground wire, but when you turned on the headlights, it switched to a power wire for dash lights. In 7 cars they had used that wire as a ground. Took me a few minutes to fix them but the first one took me a while.

When I do an oil change, I pour a little clean oil in the crankcase before putting the plug or filter in to flush out any remaining dirty oil before refill. Waste of time or oil?
