Sell me a tpm plug and get on with it
I did this too
Yes, I agree 100% with you it's all about money. Microsoft forcing people to buy new hardware just to run some bogus operating system.
I did a dual boot Windows 10/11 running on a first gen i7 920. The reason I even decided to try 11 on this PC is the motherboard. It's an Asus P6T Deluxe that supports TPM. I had to buy a separate module that I was lucky enough to find on eBay but still, I'm impressed for a motherboard from 2008 to have that option. So, comparing performance, Windows 11 used a little more ram (which was not a big deal since I have the board maxed out at 24GB) and overall CPU usage was slower by about 10% across the board and as much as 25% is some instances. Believe it or not, this system does everything I need it to do being 15 years old so, I'm sticking with Windows 10 on this PC until support runs out in 2025 or whenever. I have the feeling they will extend it a bit, they always do.
Now that it's a year later, have you had any problems running and updating 11 on that "old" machine?
i dont kniw what to say, all i can say, this is amazing, well shit, gotta install win11 on my old pc, not this way,,this way is outdated now. rufus can do that now, to bypass it
I liked the video, thank you very much
Thanks for this,Im downloading windows 11,Installing on to a USB device,I go to windows setup next, see if it loads through,My gaming computer less than a few years old, through windows updates, wont let me setup windows 11
Adguard is safe it's just pull iso from Microsoft server
What about mine is 13 year old one 🤔🤔
I come back to this video every time I need to install Windows 11. It works 100%
@Chris Titus Tech Q? does your pc bios support UEFI? or is it legacy? cmbios?
YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!
I was struggling for days to make Windows 10 install on a 8TB hard drive using GPT, but the installer always kept initializing the disk with MBR and it limits the drive to 2TB. I then tried installing Windows 11 instead, thinking it might better manage this, but on that front I was struggling to make my PC supported, even though secure boot and PTM 2.0 are enabled and configured.
I remembered you had a couple of videos on Windows 11 and thought that surely Chris managed to go through those issues. Does Chris Titus helps you adapt your hardware for Windows 11? Nooo. He helps you adapt Windows 11 installer to your hardware.
You are, Sir, a God. Thanks!
the link is broken on the ISO download using UUP video
Excellent tutorial. I had issues because for whatever reason the iso image would hit some strange error halfway through the install. My solution was to boot the laptop with the USB stick built from Microsoft website, then follow the guide to rebuild the partitions and copy the relevant bits. In my case though, I also had the iso on another usb stick that I used as the source for the apply image part but still managed to get w11 on a dell vostro 3360. Ised the official release 22000 or something like that
10 yr old machine
11 Windows
12 Minutes 😀
I just done this without any script or modifications but! Dont ask me how to replicated it hahahaha
I got Windows 11 Home already installed, could this still work to move to Windows 11 Pro? Also, I've got no idea what I've done to my USB drives, all I know is that they've been wiped 16 times.
Also, can this work on a MacOS.iso file?
I tired it it didn't work, I'll just go for windows 10
i installed win 11 on a 2007 pc
just downloaded windows 10 and windows 11 put windows 10 on usb stick with rufus and mounted windows 11 iso, deleted install.wim from resources folder on windows 10 usb stick, copied install.wim from mounted windows 11 mounted iso, rebooted to the usb stick and windows 11 intalled perfectly on a core i7 960 on an asus PST WS PRO with x58 chipset, runs great no TPM , no UEFI.
It's not very green government should do something about it
I watched a lot of videos on YouTube. man everyone said don't upgrade . But after seeing your video i m going to upgrade. Here's my specs i3 6gbram gfx2gb. It's time to upgrade.
nice hard work you do.
Aside from being .esd instead of .wim everything was fine, I'm kinda new to this and I had a bit of trouble navigating to look at the file names but was able to do it, gonna see if it runs fine on an AMD APU 5800k
i am using windows 11 on 13 year old pc
Why aren't environmentalists screaming about Microsoft sending a jillion PC's to the landfills because of their rendering most PC's unable to run Windows 11? That's the real crime.
not working now
microst had also seened this and fixed it
Sir thank You very much for video! 🙌ðŸ»â¤
Works with 2nd Gen
Windows needs to get rid of the Hardware requirements.
I have an easier Solution….Just take 2 usb drives. One with the windows 11 install program, One with the windows 10 install program. Take the install.esd file from the windows 11 usb and replace the same file on the windows 10 usb. Now i can use the windows 10 USB to install windows 11 Files. No Checks on hardware. Some screens may say upgrade to windows 10 , But windows 11 is what gets installed.
Thank you very much. I did exact same intel 3rd gen machine with official windows 11. It's amazing. Keep it up 👌
Hi Chris. I tried ur method on MacBook Pro mid 2012. After restart it stuck on “just a momentâ€. After waiting for 1 hour. I forced restart it booted on login screen showing defaultuser0 asking for password and nothing happens from there
When you think about it the installer is running a extremely lightweight version of windows 11 to install windows 11 so…
Hi Chris. This video is a life-saver! My 2017 ASUS Rog laptop was incompatible with Windows 11. It runs Manjaro with Windows 10 using grub as the boot loader. I didn’t want to lose this, so purchased a 240Gb WD m2 drive attached to an Adwits USB3 adapter. Using Rufus v3.17 (which includes an advanced option to bypass some of Windows 11’s restrictions. Although only doing a clean install will allow future Windows 11 updates, and anyway wouldn’t install to an external USB drive) I downloaded the full (not preview) version. I used your command prompt install instructions, and voilà a full Windows 11 installation. A quick ‘update grub’ in Manjaro and I now have a Manjaro/Windows 10 and 11 laptop. Thank you so much.
Why one would want to install windows 11 is another question.
so this should work on my kids old 2015 Lenovo H50-50 with no TPM ?
i want to try installing 11 on my 8 year old pc but how can i get the drivers for some thing that old?
thats nice, thanks
