  1. Reading many user comments to hopefully learn something…..but, as most cannot even spell, how much do people really know? It goes beyond spelling: I see things such as "braking in" instead of "breaking in," or the typical "people is" instead of "people are." Obviously, people don't read, and therefore cannot spell.

  2. I've been using clamscan for a while before I came across this video. I thought I was fairly safe myself, without any 'careless' behavior, but my latest scan found two trojans attached to PDF files.

  3. I have clam installed on my laptop with mint installed, I just like having it there to scan external drives, and downloaded files. It gives me (most likely a false) sense of security

  4. ClamAV routinely finds and identifies legitimate code required by the OS and programs as potential viruses. If you don't recognize this issue you could well tank the OS or render software inoperable.

  5. the issue with clamav is that it takes 3 days to a week to finish scanning, with linux popularity and especially steamOS for steamdeck, a better solution for antivirus might become usefull even for the average user.

  6. Sometime my keyboard stop responding and it types something randomly and sometime if am watching a youtube video it randomly starts to skip 10 second to end the video and autoplay next video and the process goes on till i reboot it.Please help bro

  7. Ran ClamAV on 'computer'… Many viruses were found in LibreOffice… like 60. Are these real or false positives? This happened today 10-10-20.

  8. You want to see your linux server get infected? Go ahead put public IP address in your server, change root password to "1234567890", wait say 5 minutes, and then look at processes, you will see new apps that you never heard of suddenly pop up. Congrats, your server is now SSH brute-forced. 5 to 10 minutes tops.

  9. I think this is whats goin round…I have those lost and found files and all kinds of no access messages when i try to do shreds and dd's…I tried clam that wont update, says 0 definitions installed and when i try it says OK You updated GJ! and still no definitions. is there a manual update method for definitions? How do i make it scan stuff i cant access? can i just do super reformat and reclaim entire drive?
