In this video I begin installing the Iron Rock Off Road 6.5″ lift kit. I will be installing the Rock Link Long Arm kit in the front but for now I am starting on the rear and getting it squared away. -Enjoy!

This video is no fun, no green crusties, no brake clean and no torch. 🙂
One of the GREATEST "RAKES" I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
Hi, Shouldn't the spacers shown on 26:04 be on the tire side instead of the inner?
course ,, I did a bit more cussing
Eric, I just saw this video and you are so hilarious… you installed the shocks upside down… love your honesty … who hasn't done something like that… I know I have
Your bellyaching about antisieze always gets me. You know it's our buddy, be nice.
Nice job showing us how it's done, Mr. O.
Did you have to extend your drive shafts
Rear shocks are upside down. Shaft goes towards the axle not towards the body
Hey now, thank you for the great videos, I am a big fan. Just wanted to know are those wheels off a JK? I mean a Wrangler etc…. Nice clean and simple and strong.
Hey Eric! Loved watching these. I am in the process up going to 6.5" springs with the same short arm set up in the back for the time being. I know this is a long show, but do you happen to know what you had these set at for length on the lower control arms as well as the A-arm threaded end? Just hoping I can save myself some time of having to put it up on jacks every time to dial it in. Thanks in advance.
After a decade and a half in the industry working on ALL makes and models. I always say, dodge is the “easiest/best†to work on. For whatever that’s worth haha. Tits, tracks or tires, it all gives trouble.
That being said. I once seen 60k lbs pressure applied to a cv axle stub by a machine press to try and dislodge it from the wheel bearing it was seized into. At that point, we halted the process and sourced a new cv axle, bearing AND knuckle… somewhere in a scrap heap, that ol’ axle bearing n spindle lays together. Amalgamated, now, and forever. Happy motoring n drive safe.
Don’t forget your truck nuts.
At 1:14 you talk about something being "a little bit unique". I seem to remember telling you a few days ago, "Something is unique or it is not unique". There is no such thing as "a bit unique", or "almost unique", or "very unique", etc. Remember it buster! "Unique" or "not unique". No halfways, or almosts.
Your new motors looking real good Eric cant wait to see it finished.
Cool
I know this is an old video but I just got this rear a-arm for my wj and I have to drill my own zerk fittings. Was hoping you had to do the same and would show the location but I guess I'll have to guesstimate based off the holes in video.
def want to buy everything, they sell the complete long arm 6.5 inch lift kit and also 8 inch lift kits. the non long arm is ok if its a grocery getting lift lol
You can't be "only human" cuz you're on YouTube!!
LS Needed now………..
Good job
Hey Eric, I just got rear end set of the rear upper and lowers from IRO and everything has gone on as planned until getting to the lowers, my kit did not come with any spacers and there is a ton of room. Did yours come with the kit or bought after? Just curious, I have an email in with IRO but figured I’d reach out and ask since I watched your video!
Have u had the death wobble yet ..
It seemed to appear that one of your fuel or brake lines mounted to the frame, was leaking.
How's that Earthquake impact? I've gotta Baur 1/2 that works just fine for my purposes.
What shocks you have because i have 6 inch wj on 35s but i cant find 6inch shocks for wj
Lower control arm…one washer left side one washer right side to center control arm. Just saying. NICE JOB@
Yes loving it
Yeah, bilstein mounts upright according to bilstein themself.
Did you fart at 10:57?
Where can I buy that lift kit?
It's looking good! It was good to see the old suspension bolts come off nice and easy and no rust!
5:35 Hey, Eric, I designed the OE Rear Upper A-Arm that you removed when I used to work at the OEM Tier1 Supplier. Internally is known as the Boomerang.
29:25 looks ridiculous, sorry
Good mécanic jeep wj
