we start off with getting the factory rims back on with the correct lug pattern. then get into the fact that the carb is running too lean and show how I fix it,

I'm wondering if anyone has "souped up" one of these 22 hp cushman boxer engines to 40 hp and use like the 1/2 VW engines for ultralight airplanes ? I have the Truckster/Vanster model and would like to know how to get some performance out of it ? Anybody? Little Help? 😊
Do you have a carburetor number by chance? Or Amazon part number?
Thanks
Awesome video on repairs. I am currently working on the carb on a 4 wheel type G truck. Any idea on where to get parts for the carb? It's a Keihin B70C. I got issues the previous owner broke off the plastic elbow connection at carburetor fuel inlet.
Great Video you must talk to your self which helps with the video, one of your rims you cut getting the old tire off might want to throw a weld bead on it and sand it smooth.
what pert # is the cafb i need one for a 1970 omc engine for my cushman
Nail guns, one of the best tools ever invented 😅
More noise… must have MORE NOISE!!!! Seriously, I certainly wouldn't have expected the second wheel to have cleaned up as nicely as you did with it 4:12. Nice!
20:30
So thats why they call you 3 finger Mustie.
Take a break once in a while to clear your head.and yes use point cam lube , primer then paint on old rusty parts .Cushman use to make great scooters too that what I learn on .in the late fifties. I love this video .
,,,,and just imagine how good it would've run had he replaced the throttle shaft seals (and checked throttle shaft wear) after destroying the existing one while soaking in carb cleaner.
Mustie, I know I'm somewhat late. On asking you this
I have a 1978 cushman truckster with the same carburetor as your meter maid and im trying to find a rebuild kit or a carburetor. Any suggestions?
Why don’t you sandblast those rusty parts as they’re taken off?
If my memory serves me right, the last time you used a needle scaler was when you work on your trailer in your earlier videos. Great to see it being used again in this video.
try changing gas tank
Your governor seems to be hunting some. It may need some adjustment
Do you still have the cushman?
Excellent spark plug choice! Autolite is a very good brand in general, and a projected electrode is always preferable for smoother idle and cleaner combustion. Thank god you didn´t go for NGK…
I notice a hole in the roof, that maybe had a search light in it. What do you think?
Hi, sorry to bother you but near the end of this one you check the oil, start up and lean over to take off the choke and your t-shirt was so close to the pulley, you could have injured yourself. So, please be a little more careful on this kind of thing.
I just picked up a 79 on-road haulster. Being able to screen shot some of you closeups just cleared up my linkage questions. Great videos by the way. Very informative.
Just wanted to say It's Great to see Old school Repairing again, My grand father taught me a lot of what your doing, but then I got caught up in the "Parts changer" world, slows up a lot of jobs waiting on the new parts. This is very Refreshing to see your work. I don't feel so bad about 'not' waiting for the perfect repair environment. and getting as much done as possible. In other words 'I can adjust that and use the old gasket until the new one comes in.' it will still work well enough to test.
I have that same blue tiny bit holder!
runs more lick a chipper motor . torque over RPM:s ?
