  1. Hi Mustie those centre caps in Canada are 200.00 each Canadian taxes in alone, I have an 03 tacoma with 412000 km and still runs strong, with original alternator, you got a deal with that Tundra.

  2. Love your videos and can due approach to everything. I also have the exact truck, but a 2005 with 180,000 miles. You even got new tire sensors since the tire led was not blinking.

  3. I got an entire new 3rd member from Randy's ring and pinion. It was geared lower (for my 33' tires) AND it had a locking rear as opposed to the limited slip that came stock. They also provided me with the friction additive for the gear oil and matching gearset for the front dif. Pricing was fair. Reach out to them. Good guys. Online of course

  4. Did you ask the previous owner about the back panel cover because if he has the tracks on that truck would think he has the tunnel cover for it or did he put it on his new 2008 Toyota but you would still think you would need that tracks.

  5. Nice truck even with the little dings but I kinda wonder what the heck did he do to the tailgate LOL but I almost bought a truck like that and never thought about looking at the frame I thought that was mainly a jeep thing rusting out

  6. Toyota tundra not a bad truck usually from a guy who worked for a toyota dealership in Denver over ten years you wont hear nothing bad from me and easy to find new and used parts

  7. In this Vidio I noticed a spare tire cover against the house. What kind of shape is it in? Will it cover a 235/75/25 wheel & tire? Is it all metal or pvc? ( plastic) I' be been looking for another since lost one off back of motor home some where in Iowa.years ago. Would you consider sale of it, & how much? I am in western N.C

  8. So for your odd comment of today. I actually listen/watch your videos while working (I'm a software engineer) as it helps me concentrate. I don't really have an explanation for it… Just know that some random guy in The Netherlands is more productive because of your musings on wrenching.

  9. Hi buddy, love your vids. I live in south Norway and we have lots of salt spred on the roads in the winter time. Rust is an issue here as well. But we treat our veichles with a Valvoline product called Tectyl. Different products for different use. Thin lubricant for the inside of frames, rockers and so on. Thick stuff to protect the outside of the undercarridge, wheelwells and so on. I'm surprised to see there's no coating at all of cars in " the rust belt". Your frame damage does not look too bad from the outside, but it's what you don't see that worries me. These frames rot out from the inside. No coating what so ever, not even paint! So be aware! I have welded a few of these frames and you'll be surprised what you'll find when you cut them open. The steel is of very poor quality. That's why Toyota replace them without giving you too much problems. Rear of front wheels and lowest points where water is trapped are known rust spots on these trucks.
Other than that I guess they are ok..

  10. Look up First Gen Tundras on Facebook! Lots of helpful guys in there including people that work at dealerships. I have a 2001 AC and get help and ideas from there when I'm stuck.

  11. Make it a real truck stuff a ford 9" under it. You could probably find one in the bottom of a lake and it wouldn't be rusted out maybe the cover but you puck that up for a few bucks. My wife's ranger has an 8.5. Other than that you did good.

  12. Did you know that Toyota has a recall on many truck frames and will replace them for free? Visit your local Toyota dealer and have them take a look. Even once they spray it, I think you can have it checked every 2 years or so. Worth looking into.
