4. There was a bipartisan legislation written in Spring of 2024 and T rump told Congress to not pass it because he wanted to run on the border crossing population. He wanted to have a crisis so he can call the military and have them on our streets. The definition of tyranny is literally the intertwining of police force and military!

15. No, the USA is not economically what it was in the post war world ,but it is still a functional nation. Observe the highways on any big city rush hour or holidays , packed with commuters and or vacationers.
    This is still the most prosperous nation on earth.
    What functional nation ever " ELECTED" a pig dictator. Germany ,Russia, Cuba ,were all dysfunctional when ,Hitler,Stalin ,and Castro took power. My theory is racism sold the usa its dictator. 16. I love that Newsome is not afraid of DT. Policies aside, people in general don't like to see the cruelty being used against a whole group of people. It targeted the Mexicans first but it's spreading to other groups, especially but not limited to dark skinned people. The maga are ok with cruelty but not happy when their farms fail and their health care goes away. He's spot on..the media is culpable in a big way. Strategically the Dems should have kept Biden from running again early on. I thought Newsome could have beaten DT. In the original colonies there were Dutch,,French some Jews, freed slaves (in the north) and not even acknowledged Native Americans.Slaves weren't considered a problem until they were , (another topic)There were Spanish west of the Mississippi River. When was the first wave of immigrants? I know there was a wave of Scottish Presbyterians..my ancestors. They were pushed towards the western frontier at the time as were Getmans ( Pennsylvania Dutch). Point being we have had immigration waves for a long time. The west did not even belong to the United States until recent history. Once the European whites took over the west they subjugated Asians and Mexicans and tragically Native Americans. So this new phase is history repeating itself and it's not going to hold.

19. Democrats have to become an anti corruption government reform party with a vision that they clearly communicate to the people. They must run on campaign finance reform, Healthcare reform, tax reform, economic opportunity for the wrlorking class and democracy strengthening and reform. Then, when they get power, MAKE THESE REFORMS. No more half measures. No more incremental changes that are reversed by the next Republican president.
    Most people see the Democratic party as the empty words, or empty promises party. Inaction on issues is why.

So many Trumpers suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect: too ignorant/stupid to know they're ignorant/stupid, i.e. those with little ability in a given field can believe they excel in it or, "My ignorance is as good as your knowledge." Democrats and all regular Americans need to appreciate immigrant laborers for more than the fact that they work for cheap at doing work that depends upon their youngest strength to be a competitive earner. Had they been paid like Pro football, Baseball and Basketball workers I think we would all have been paid a living wage. Moreover, the US benefits from artisan skills, old cultural ways of the immigrant culture in more ways than one can number. I read an article by Matthew McWilliams (2016) (political scientist by training) that said the biggest predictor of a being MAGA voter and drawn to authoritarian leaders is their attitude about child rearing. (“… more important for the voter to have a child who is respectful or independent; obedient or self-reliant; well-behaved or considerate; and well-mannered or curious.) . It cuts through both parties. Look up the article on the net. These voters are not the rich people voters who want tax cuts, needless to say.
