I already showed impressive live benchmarks for AMD 5600X… Well, things just got better on Linux!

But the fn key is always on in ubuntu can anyone please help me
What distro are you using
It doesn't surprise me that Linux Kernel devs are great at tuning kernels to work well with the new AMD Zen3 processors.
Coming from an FX-8350 I'm excited to be compiling kernels in less than a minute
Thanks! Can someone tell me if i can dual boot Linux (Ubuntu, Kali) on a AMD 4000 Séries, or use on VMs, like Parallels or VMWare? Thanks!
Out of curiosity, are you using this as your production rig? If so, what are its specs and how does it do with video editing? I'm considering the same processor for my next build with that in mind.
Ey Chris i can‘t Open my windows defender. I checked my services it was it was set to manual I press start button then came a error message. Need you help.
Hay I'm having trouble with my windows 10 booting I'm getting the blue screen and the error says critical process died
Sorry Chris. My experience with AMD hardware and drivers make me never want to use their products again.
Oh Linux guru of the youtubes! I am looking to start my journey into the realms of Linux. I have only ventured into windows thus far and would like to expand my horizons. What distro would you recommend I begin with? I am open to new challenges. I will be using my 2 year old laptop and don't know where to begin.

Chris, compare Xanmod with tkg. 😉
Man ran neofetch first to show us he runs arch. Btw i use manjaro. Please share your desktop environment
These chips are really impressive!
Or just use Chaotic Aur to install pre packaged binaries of cpu architecture optimised kernels through the pacman -S command
Edit : IN ARCH LINUX
hey man your win 10 debloater removed all my file associations AND restore points!
This is what I'm running. Would you upgrade the kernel?
CPU: Intel i7-4771 (8) @ 3.900GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M Mac Edition
Kernel: 5.4.0-52-generic
This makes me even more curious on how the RX 6000 series of cards will be optimized and work under Linux especially with the optimizations AMD seems to be so proud to deliver to us.
it's not new to anyone that Linux is not latency friendly.
I would love to make the switch but it's too unreliable at the use point of view as I'll have to trully put effort to do simple tasks like play a game (because gamepad have lag, sound is behind the image, performance is crap compared to windows…).
A kernel make any diference? I doubt. There is too much work to be done for linux to be more than a fancy curiosity.
AMD + Linux â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
I'm looking to build a machine from scratch. I need more cores as I work as a software dev. Should I go for the latest R7 or the 3000 series R7? R9 is a bit out of budget.
Speaking of random dudes… Why are your supporting members no longer listed on your videos?
Where is the Coreboot support for Zen as promised? Sank when stock price sky rocketed?
what does it mean to install that tkg kernel?
is that like changing your corvette engine and drivetrain to a ferrari drivetrain /engine combo? i mean like are you installing a new OS essentially ?
I can't install the kernel on Linux Mint 20, keep getting; [ -> Variable "_distro" in "customization.cfg" hasn't been set to "Ubuntu", "Debian", "Fedora" or "Suse"
-> This script can only install custom kernels for RPM and DEB based distros, though only those keywords are permitted. Exiting..] —Edit: Nvm have to edit the customization file, derp.
What if you upgrade to 5.10 on a 3600?
0:27 Compiling kernel? What does that mean? Sorry if this is a noob question…I’m a Linux noob.
To me this is the best update. Not being able to view cpu temp real-time always bothered me.
It's not as amazing as your educational videos about windows and Linux.
Did you make a video about soundproofing a room before? I want to find the best-fit way to do it.
The early kernels are better than i expected.
Now its time for you to switch to Linux for gaming haha
