Bikini island in the Marshal Islands was bombed by US nuclear weapons to test the effects of radiation on the indeginous people of those islands. After their horrible experiments the ‘bikini’ was released by French designer Louis Reard. These islands are still under US occupation today, people dying from thyroid cancer and other effects of that experience.
